Launching the Program 'Say no to illegal use of wildlife' in Con Cuong

(Baonghean.vn) - The series of programs aims to build Con Cuong district (Nghe An) into a pioneer district in not using illegal wildlife.

On April 28, Con Cuong District People's Committee organized an event to launch the program series 'Con Cuong District says no to illegal use of wild animals'.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Sy Kien, Chairman of Con Cuong District People's Committee, said that the series of programs aims to build Con Cuong district into a pioneer district in not using illegal wildlife; at the same time, becoming a leading unit in implementing Directive 29/CT-TTg dated July 23, 2020 of the Prime Minister and Plan No. 504/KH-UBND dated September 8, 2020 of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.

“To achieve this goal, the implementation of the series of programs must be under the leadership, direction and management of the Party Committee and the government. In particular, each Party member, cadre, civil servant, public employee, and people in Con Cuong district must be aware of and commit to absolutely not hunting, trading, transporting, storing, and using illegal wildlife and their products,” said Mr. Kien.

At the event, 220 delegates representing local authorities and businesses were informed of the spirit and agreed with the content and implementation plan of the program series and responded to the action of not eating illegal wildlife and not using illegal wildlife products.
