Improving the quality of party member development in Thai Hoa town

Focus on discovering and nurturing new factors

The work of developing party members is of special importance in the work of Party building, contributing to strengthening the force, rejuvenating the contingent, improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization. To carry out this work, every year, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee has directed the City Party Committee's Organization Board to proactively develop plans and assign targets to the Party Committees and affiliated Party cells.

At the same time, direct and resolutely implement many solutions, focusing on propaganda and education so that the masses can correctly perceive the meaning and importance of the work of developing Party members, thereby having the right attitude and motivation to strive to join the Party. In addition, regularly guide Party organizations on the process, procedures, and steps from the introduction, training, to admitting Party members; develop plans to open classes to foster awareness of the Party for the elite masses.

During the 2015 - 2020 term, Thai Hoa Town Party Committee admitted 639 party members, reaching 107% of the set target. From the beginning of 2021 to mid-October 2021, Thai Hoa Town admitted 100 new party members.

Besides the achieved results, the work of recruiting new party members in Thai Hoa town still has some limitations and difficulties such as: The rate of recruiting party members in village and residential block party cells is not high; some hamlet party cells have not recruited party members for many years; the source of recruiting party members in some communes and wards still faces difficulties because when graduating from high school, students go to vocational school, work as workers, go to university or work in other localities.

Some party members, after being admitted or discharged from the army, returned to their hometowns to work far away, did not complete the procedures to transfer to the Party or request to leave the Party, leading to their names being removed from the Party Committee's list of party members (in the first 9 months of 2021, Thai Hoa disciplined 31 party members, including expelling 12 party members, warning 4 party members, and reprimanding 15 party members)...

Continue to implement key solutions

To continue to effectively carry out the work of developing party members, in the coming time, the Thai Hoa town Party Committee has determined to effectively carry out the following key tasks and solutions:

The first, raise awareness and responsibility of Party committees and organizations at all levels for Party development work, considering this an important and regular political task. Party committees and organizations must correctly perceive and grasp the motto, viewpoints and process of Party development; overcome the situation of implementing Party development work that is too achievement-oriented, chasing quantity without paying attention to quality. Strengthen propaganda and education so that the masses have a correct understanding of the meaning and importance of Party member development work, thereby having the right attitude and motivation to strive to join the Party. Have a specific plan to create sources for Party member development, close to the actual situation; regularly inspect, supervise, guide and remove difficulties and obstacles for the grassroots in the work of creating sources and admitting Party members, paying attention to both quantity and quality.

Monday,Proactively do a good job of discovering and creating sources for party development. For branches and party committees, it is necessary to have plans and measures to create sources for developing new party members, ensuring quantity and quality; not to ensure quality for quantity; focus on creating sources for secretaries of youth branches, association branches, heads of association organizations, demobilized soldiers, teachers, students, and university graduates to join the party. Overcome the situation where block and hamlet party cells have not been able to recruit party members for many years in a row, and 100% of residential party cells have a party committee.

Tuesday, fully and seriously implement the party development process. To fully and seriously implement the process, procedures and instructions on party development work, it is necessary to regularly organize training, fostering and specific guidance for Party committees, Party organizations and agencies and organizations in party development work. The process and procedures for party development, fully and seriously implemented, will contribute to improving the quality of party members.

Wednesday,Closely combine party membership admission with education, training, practice and screening of party members. Strengthen the training, education and practice of newly admitted party members, remove weak, degenerate and corrupt people from the party, make the party organization truly clean and strong, create trust of each party member and the people in the leadership of the party.

Thursday,promote the combined strength of organizations and forces in the work of party development. Party development is the task of Party committees and organizations at all levels. However, for this work to be truly of quality and achieve the set goals, it is necessary to know how to arouse and promote the combined strength of organizations and forces in the political system, and to innovate the content and forms of activities of political and social organizations such as the Youth Union, Women's Union, Farmers' Association, etc. to attract union members and members to participate. From there, discover and nurture positive factors to create sources for party admission.

Currently, Thai Hoa town is striving to become a type III urban area by 2025 and a provincial city before 2030 in accordance with the spirit of the Resolution of the 3rd Town Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025 and Resolution No. 02 NQ/TU, dated July 2, 2021 of the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee. On that basis, increasing the number and quality of Party members will actively contribute to the entire Party Committee and people of the town to effectively implement the set goals.
