Nghe An: Nearly 5 tons of dirty food of unknown origin seized
(Baonghean.vn) - On May 8, the Environmental Police Team (Vinh City Police) discovered and seized a large quantity of food of unknown origin.

During the inspection of business activities at the Truong Lan frozen warehouse, hamlet 11, Nghi Phu commune (Vinh city) owned by Mr. Nguyen Van Truong, born in 1972, residing in hamlet 13, Nghi Phu commune, the environmental police force of Vinh City Police discovered that the warehouse was storing nearly 5 tons of food including: 2,000 kg of suckling pigs, 1,000 kg of animal bones, 1,000 kg of cow feet, 500 kg of animal organs and 80 kg of pig hearts.

At the time of inspection, the warehouse owner could not present documents proving the origin of the food. The goods also had no stamps or labels on the products, and no animal product quarantine certificate.

The authorities have drawn up a record and temporarily detained all of the above food for handling according to the provisions of law.
