During the past term, thanks to promoting the spirit of solidarity, mobilizing the entire political system to participate, with many policies that are accurate and in line with the people's wishes, promoting the spirit and unity in the movement to build new rural areas, Tan Thanh has successfully carried out its tasks in all fields, all set targets have been achieved and exceeded the plan.

The average annual growth rate reached 9.2%; Average income per capita reached over 46 million VND/person/year. The economic structure shifted towards gradually reducing the proportion of agriculture, from 63.86% at the beginning of the term to only 46.25% at the end of the term; sharply increasing the proportion of small-scale industry and construction from 17.33% to 24.21%, an increase of 6.88% compared to the plan: trade and services from 18.41% to 29.54%, an increase of 11.13% compared to the plan.

The efficiency after land conversion has been promoted, the fields are convenient for mechanization, linkage in agricultural production, gradually forming high-tech production areas, 2 products: pineapple and melon have been recognized as VietGAP standards...

Rural infrastructure and welfare works serving production and people's lives are constantly invested. Industrial and handicraft points have been formed in the town area. Social culture has many positive changes. The rate of cultural families reaches 81.72%, cultural villages reach 85.71%. Social policy work has always received due attention, labor export and job creation are focused on, bringing the poverty rate to only 2.4%. National defense and security are maintained, the work of building the government and the front of mass organizations is consolidated. For many years, Tan Thanh Commune Party Committee has been honored as a strong and clean Party Committee, a typical strong and clean Party Committee.

Implementing the movement to build new rural areas, with the motto of promoting the spirit of self-reliance and taking advantage of external resources, Tan Thanh commune has invested hundreds of billions of VND to complete and upgrade 19/19 criteria. In 2016, it was recognized as a commune that met new rural standards, exceeding the target of the Resolution of the 10th Party Congress of the commune by 1 year.

Promoting the achieved results, in the 2020-2025 term, Tan Thanh Commune Party Committee strives to build the commune to achieve the status of an advanced new rural commune by 2021, a model new rural commune by 2024, and turn the central area of ​​the commune into a mixed urban area for agricultural, industrial and eco-tourism development in the future.

The Congress also voted directly to elect 14 comrades to the Party Executive Committee of the commune, term XI, 2020-2025.

As a result, comrade Tran Duy Liem - former Chairman of the Commune People's Committee was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Commune Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
