Nghe An adjusts voter contact and election campaign schedules to suit Covid-19 prevention and control

To ensure disease prevention and control requirementsCovid-19With complicated developments, on May 7, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province issued Notice No. 73/TB-MTTQ-BTT on adjusting the plan to organize conferences to meet voters and mobilize voters.electorfor candidates for the 15th National Assembly and candidates for the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026 (replacing Plan No. 61 issued previously).

Specifically, for candidates for the 15th National Assembly, in the localities of Thanh Chuong, Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, and Vinh city, each locality organized 2 meetings with voters and election campaigns.

In the remaining districts and towns, each locality organizes 1 voter contact session.election campaign(except for Do Luong, Tan Ky, Nghia Dan, Anh Son districts and Cua Lo town which have completed the organization).

For candidates for the Provincial People's Council, each constituency organizes 2 elections, except for 7/26 constituencies that have already completed the elections. Including constituency No. 1 (Vinh city), constituency No. 6 (Yen Thanh district), constituency No. 11 (Nghia Dan district), constituency No. 19 (Anh Son district), constituency No. 21 (Do Luong district), constituency No. 24 (Tan Ky district) and constituency No. 25 (Cua Lo town).

According to Notice No. 73/TB-MTTQ-BTT, the form of organizing the conference to contact voters and campaign for elections will be carried out online and in person. Regarding the time of organizing the conference, it will continue to be carried out from May 10 and end on May 15.

Accordingly, there will be a total of 18 meetings with voters and election campaigns of candidates for the 15th National Assembly; 33 meetings with voters and election campaigns of candidates for the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, of which 16 will be combined with meetings and election campaigns of candidates for the National Assembly and candidates for the Provincial People's Council.

Previously, on April 23, 2021, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province issued Plan No. 61 on organizing meetings with voters and campaigning for candidates for the 15th National Assembly and candidates for the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026.

And on May 5 and 6, the province organized 12/56 conferences for candidates for National Assembly deputies in constituencies No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5, in Do Luong, Tan Ky, Nghia Dan, Yen Thanh, Anh Son districts and Cua Lo town. Regarding candidates for provincial People's Council deputies, 22/126 conferences were organized in 8 districts, cities and towns.
