Nghe An: Prosecuted 5 more defendants in 2 cases of 'Forgery in work'

The first case occurred in Quynh Chau commune, on August 16, 2021, Quynh Luu district police arrested Le Thi Huong Giang, born in 1981, residing in Quynh My commune, Quynh Luu district (former land official of Quynh Chau commune) for the act of "Fraud at work”.

Expanding the investigation, on October 1, 2021, the District Police continued to arrest and prosecute 4 more defendants, including: Nguyen Binh Khang, born in 1963, residing in Quynh Chau commune, Quynh Luu district, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Quynh Chau commune (former Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Chau commune) and Hoang Van Chat, born in 1962, residing in Do Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district (former official of the Office of Land Registration and Use of Quynh Luu district) for the crime of "Lack of responsibility causing serious consequences"; Thai Thi Ly, born in 1961 and Thai Doan Huong, born in 1965, both residing in Quynh Chau commune, Quynh Luu district for the crime of "Giving bribes".

Accordingly, Ly and Huong gave Giang 200 million VND to ask for help in falsifying land documents.

The second incident occurred in Quynh Giang commune. On August 23, 2021, Quynh Luu district police initiated a case and prosecuted Nguyen Ba Thai, born in 1979, residing in Quynh Giang commune, Quynh Luu district (former Head of Quynh Giang commune police) and Nguyen Ngoc Duc, born in 1981, residing in Quynh Giang commune, Quynh Luu district (Vice Chairman of the Farmers' Association, delegate of the People's Council of Quynh Giang commune, term 2021 - 2026) for the crime of "Forgery in work".

Expanding the investigation, on October 1, 2021, the District Police issued a decision to prosecute Chu Thi Ngoc, born in 1982, residing in Quynh Giang commune, Quynh Luu district (Member of the Executive Committee of the Quynh Luu District Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Giang commune) also for the crime of "Forgery in work".

Currently, Quynh Luu District Police are consolidating records and continuing to expand the investigation of the above two cases.
