(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 14, in Dien Phu and Dien Loi communes (Dien Chau district), upon receiving information from the public, the authorities discovered and detained a group of scammers illegally selling goods in the area.

At the Cultural Houses of 9 hamlets in Dien Phu commune and 4 hamlets in Dien Loi commune, a group of people claiming to be employees of Vinaco Media Joint Stock Company in Hoang Mai district, Hanoi, went to introduce the company's consumer products.
However, through many forms, this group of employees sold products including flashlights, light bulbs, non-stick pans, rice cookers, multi-function pots, etc. to people at prices twice as high as the market price outside.

The first 8 customers were promised by these employees to receive a rice cooker worth 2.5 million VND. When gullible people continued to buy in the hope of receiving a gift, they were only given an envelope containing 100,000 VND.
Taking advantage of the moment when the Hamlet Chief was handing out envelopes to the people, these employees got into the car and escaped. While escaping at the Cultural House of Hamlet 3, Dien Phu Commune, this group of people were shouted at and arrested by the people.
It is known that the total number of buyers in the two communes of Dien Phu and Dien Loi is 94 people with a total amount of over 200 million VND.
Currently, all sales staff and cars are being detained by the district and commune police to handle according to the law and request to return all the money that the company has sold products to the people.
