Efforts to extinguish a 20-year-old pine forest fire in Hung Nguyen

Previously, at about 6:30 a.m. on June 28, atDai Hue mountain area, Phuc Dien hamlet, Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district, a pine forest fire occurred that was more than 20 years old.

After receiving the information, the Provincial Military Command and Hung Nguyen district mobilized more than 300 officers and soldiers of the Army, Police, fire prevention and fighting forces, militia and self-defense forces, people of Hung Tay commune, along with 3 fire trucks and technical equipment to put out the fire.

At the time of the fire, the weather was hot and sunny with strong southwest winds. The location of the fire was on the top of a mountain, so the fire spread quickly, making it extremely difficult to put out and prevent the fire from spreading. After more than 3 hours of putting out the fire and creating a firebreak, the authorities were able to control the fire.
