(Baonghean.vn) - Hien and her sister do not know who their father is, and their mother is not normal and often leaves home. Nghe An newspaper once published an article about the situation of the two children, when the older sister often had to carry her younger sister to school because there was no one to look after her, the two sisters lived day by day thanks to the care of neighbors. In 2020, Hien and her sister were adopted by SOS Children's Village, since then their lives have changed, they live in an environment filled with love, no longer hungry or lacking clothes.

Nguyen Thi Hien (born 2007) in An Hoa hamlet, Thanh An commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An) and her younger sister Nguyen Thi Ngoc (3 years old) were welcomed to SOS Children's Village Vinh (Nghe An) from the beginning of 2020. Photo: Dinh Tuyen

Here I received the love of my mothers, brothers, sisters, and friends in the village. Right from the moment I entered the village, I was taught, guided, loved, and given the full affection of a family by my mother. Photo: Dinh Tuyen

For two consecutive years studying at Hermann Gmeiner Vinh High School, Hien received a Certificate of Merit for being an excellent student, a good student, a role model at school, and a certificate of being a filial child in the village. Mother Ta Thi Tuyen, the mother who took care of the two sisters from the first days when they came to the common house at SOS Children's Village Vinh, said: Hien is a very good and agile child; an exemplary older sister, who takes care of and loves her younger sibling very much. Outside of school hours, Hien and her sisters help their mother and aunts prepare meals. Here, they are taught and trained in everything to develop both physically and spiritually. Photo: Dinh Tuyen

At SOS Children's Village Vinh (Nghe An), Hien does not have to worry about lack of food, lack of clothing, lack of love like the days when the two sisters lived alone in an empty house halfway up the hill. Photo: Dinh Tuyen

Sisters Hien and Ngoc were arranged to stay with other children who all had difficult circumstances, with the care of a common mother. Living in a collective environment far from home, Hien was always conscious, exemplary, self-disciplined and knew how to share work with everyone. Photo: Dinh Tuyen
