Organize a thoughtful and friendly reception for citizens

On the afternoon of October 14, Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee inspected the reception of citizens from the South returning to Nghe An at the Central Bus Station on the Vinh bypass. This is the reception point transferred from the Quyet mountainside road from the evening of October 13. This is a solution to ensure the safety of people when storm No. 8 makes landfall.

Inspecting the reception work at the new location, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged the efforts of departments, branches, and functional forces in coordination with the Central Bus Station Management Board to fully prepare forces and vehicles with a high spirit of readiness for the welfare work for the people.

The activities of full health declaration for returning citizens are strictly implemented. At the same time, the support of food and provisions for citizens is continued to be well implemented by organizations, agencies and units.

Encouraging the functional forces responsible for welcoming citizens returning from the southern provinces, comrade Nguyen Van Thong also reminded the Reception Organizing Committee to strengthen communication with the localities where citizens passed through to clearly understand the circumstances of the returnees. From there, organize a thoughtful and friendly reception, guide and help the returning citizens in the most convenient way.

Actively prevent storms and Covid-19 epidemic

On the afternoon of October 14, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee inspected the flood prevention work due to the impact of storm No. 8 in Hoang Mai town. A quick report from the town's leaders showed that from the morning of October 14, 1,044 ships/1,044 ships (100%) with 6,301 workers had returned to anchor at safe harbor.

Storm No. 8 has weakened but there is still the possibility of heavy rain and strong winds, so the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee focused on directing all levels and sectors to organize and implement well the prevention and control work; closely follow the locality, regularly urge and update information on storm and rain situations. In the event of heavy rain, Vuc Mau Lake overflows, functional forces and authorities need to grasp the situation, quickly inform the people and have timely solutions to ensure the safety of people and property.

In Hoang Mai town, comrade Nguyen Van Thong also came to inspect the Covid-19 prevention and control quarantine work in the area. Currently, the town has 13 centralized quarantine points. Up to now, there are 2,110 people returning from epidemic areas in the area who are being quarantined and monitored; of which, 181 cases are quarantined in a centralized manner, 438 cases are quarantined at home; and 1,491 cases are being monitored for health.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested all levels and sectors in the town to continue to do a good job of managing people returning from epidemic areas and implementing epidemic prevention and control work, creating stability for socio-economic development.

On the same afternoon, comrade Nguyen Van Thong inspected the quarantine and Covid-19 epidemic prevention work in Quynh Luu district. The whole district currently has 80 centralized quarantine points with 3,093 beds. Currently, 898 people are being quarantined, of which 133 are F1 (accumulated centralized quarantine since the beginning of the period to date is 5,757 people. Of which: 1,553 are F1; 4,204 people returning from epidemic areas).

From July 26 to October 13, Quynh Luu had 4,808 people returning from the southern provinces. The district organized centralized quarantine for 3,167 cases, home quarantine for 1,537 cases, and home health monitoring for 104 cases.

The Covid-19 epidemic situation is still unpredictable, so comrade Nguyen Van Thong requested the Party Committee and authorities at all levels in Quynh Luu to continue to strictly implement epidemic prevention solutions. Coordinate well to welcome citizens back but ensure safety, contribute to stabilizing the situation, gradually repel the epidemic to develop the economy and society./.
