Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee directs 6 key tasks of foreign information work
On the afternoon of January 15, the Foreign Information Steering Committee of Nghe An province held a conference to review the work in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025.
Comrades: Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for External Information; Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department chaired the conference.

Comprehensive results
In 2024, sectors and localities will basically adhere to their tasks and develop plans to promptly implement the contents of propaganda work and orient foreign information work.
Members of the Provincial Steering Committee, based on their functions and tasks, proactively deploy appropriate contents; proactively direct and orient forces participating in the struggle and refute distorted arguments about the Party and State's foreign policies and guidelines.

In 2024, foreign information work will be implemented in a unified and comprehensive manner, contributing to creating positive changes in activities, on all three pillars: Party diplomacy, State diplomacy and people's diplomacy, notably in the fields of economic diplomacy, investment attraction, expansion of foreign relations, friendly cooperation mechanisms, and foreign affairs with countries and localities.
In 2024, Nghe An province will have 19 working delegations led by provincial leaders to foreign countries to promote cooperative relationships with new partners, opening up markets to attract investment for the province. This is a bright spot for the province in 2024, with foreign direct investment (FDI) reaching nearly 1.75 billion USD, ranking in the top 10 nationwide.

Foreign information work combines economic diplomacy and cultural diplomacy with the task of attracting investment and trade, promoting the image of the homeland and country; promptly orienting information on issues arising in the fields of ethnicity, religion, democracy, and human rights.
Carry out 6 key tasks
Speaking at the conference, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for External Information Work acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of external information work of all levels and sectors in the province.

At the same time, it is pointed out that: Coordination is not yet synchronous; information content sometimes does not meet requirements; investment resources for external information work are still limited, so there must be stronger and more effective solutions to overcome the shortcomings and limitations pointed out.
According to the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, entering 2025, the world and regional situation is forecast to continue to have many complex fluctuations. Strategic and geopolitical competition between major countries, economic competition, and trade wars continue to be fierce, posing potential risks, affecting the stability of financial and monetary markets, energy security, food security, and regional and global geopolitical issues.
Our country is in the final stage of successfully implementing the goals of the 13th National Party Congress, preparing for the 14th National Party Congress; urgently implementing the "great revolution" in arranging and streamlining the political system apparatus; aiming to bring the country into a "New Era, an era of development, wealth and prosperity".

Faced with new requirements, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu suggested that in 2025, foreign information work should focus on 6 key tasks:
Continue to implement Conclusion No. 57-KL/TW, dated June 15, 2023 of the Politburo on "Continuing to improve the quality and effectiveness of foreign information work in the new situation"; closely follow the contents of foreign information work according to the direction of the Central and the province; innovate thinking in implementing foreign information work in conjunction with the goals and targets of the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels, term 2025-2030 and Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW, dated July 18, 2023 of the Politburo on "Building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045".
In addition, focus on innovating propaganda methods, diversifying content with the motto "easier to absorb, easier to receive and more attractive"; skillfully combining communication methods, maximizing modern media (social networks, internet...); proactively coordinating and effectively exploiting key national communication channels.
Proactively grasp the ideological situation and public opinion, improve the ability to analyze and forecast development trends and emerging issues; closely combine the two tasks of "propaganda" and "struggle", carry out with focus, key points, and clearly and effectively assign tasks.
At the same time, regularly train and foster the force doing foreign information work; mobilize the force of influential people in the community (KOLs), overseas Vietnamese and international friends.

Pay attention to arranging appropriate operating funds, taking into account legal socialized sources to implement foreign information and propaganda activities; ensure the provision of modern equipment to support the foreign information team to promote creativity, innovation, and create communication products that meet the requirements of development in the new situation.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Provincial Steering Committee to review the operating regulations of the Steering Committee, especially the responsibilities of its members, responsibilities in organizing and coordinating effective activities; develop a plan of activities and budget for 2025; organize inspections and evaluations of performance results and implement appropriate emulation and reward work.
