(Baonghean.vn) - After the Vinh - Cua Lo boulevard planning was approved, the People's Committee of Cua Lo town organized the adjustment of the 1/2000 scale zoning plan for Nghi Hoa and Nghi Huong wards to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval (the Provincial People's Committee has approved the zoning plan for the wards).

About 350 hectares of planning area

The zoning plan of Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard and the area on both sides of Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard (scale 1/2000) was approved by the People's Committee of Nghe An province in Decision No. 3228/QD-UBND dated August 19, 2019, in which the Cua Lo area in the project is about 350 hectares located on the administrative boundaries of Nghi Hoa and Nghi Huong wards, including mixed-use land - commercial services, residential land, green land and agency land.

According to the above planning, Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard section through Cua Lo belongs to subdivision 5 - Entertainment tourism center area: Belonging to Nghi Huong and Nghi Hoa wards of Cua Lo town and Nghi Xuan commune of Nghi Loc district (from km 7+300 to km 11+200). This area is arranged with conference center projects, 5-star hotel chains, large-scale commercial centers serving sea tourism and ecological housing and tourism complexes.

After the zoning plan was approved, the Town People's Committee coordinated with relevant departments and branches to attract investors to survey and make detailed plans for projects to invest in construction according to the approved plan.

Up to now, the Provincial People's Committee has allowed the organization of a competition to select the detailed planning ideas for the construction of a scale of 1/500 for the Commercial and Urban Area in Nghi Thach Commune, Nghi Loc District and Nghi Huong and Nghi Hoa Wards, Cua Lo Town in Official Dispatch No. 7098/UBND-CN dated October 4, 2019 (proposed by Euro Group Joint Stock Company). On July 14, 2021, the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 4824/UBND-CN on allowing Thien Minh Duc Group Joint Stock Company to sponsor the detailed planning for the construction of a scale of 1/500 for the Urban Area South of Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard in Nghi Xuan Commune, Nghi Loc District and Nghi Hoa Ward, Cua Lo Town with an area of ​​318.8 hectares.

Mr. Doan Tien Dung - Chairman of Cua Lo Town People's Committee added: "In the coming time, the Town People's Committee will continue to coordinate with provincial departments, branches and sectors to attract projects on services, trade and tourism to invest on both sides of Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard in accordance with the approved planning".

In addition, Cua Lo town also focuses resources to complete key projects: Binh Minh Street, Nguyen Hue Street, renovating the East and West sides of Binh Minh Street, roads to Wharfs 5, 6, 7, 8 of Cua Lo Port, cross-roads from Binh Minh Street to Nguyen Hue Street; Project 6-11, Thu Thuy Ward administrative headquarters, Nghi Tan Ward Cultural House and projects according to the list of technical infrastructure that the Resolution of the Town People's Council has issued on the medium-term public investment plan, period 2021 - 2025.

Revocation of land fund creation project

In 2022, the People's Committee of Cua Lo town also proposed departments, branches and sectors to inspect 07 projects including: Hotel and villa complex project invested by Hanoi Tourism Joint Stock Company; Psychological counseling and physiotherapy project invested by Psychological counseling and physiotherapy center; Commercial center project combined with high-class restaurant and hotel invested by 79 Tourism Service Trading Joint Stock Company; Golf course, hotel and villa complex project in Cua Lo town invested by Cua Lo Sea Golf Joint Stock Company; Vanh Khuyen private kindergarten invested by Minh Duc Bao Chau Joint Stock Company; Nam Hoa residential area invested by Nam Hoa Joint Stock Company.

The proposal to revoke these projects aims to speed up the progress of investment projects, clean up the environment and create land funds for new projects in the town.

At the conference to give opinions on the draft project to expand the administrative boundaries and urban space of Vinh city, Nghe An province, organized by the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee on August 9, the provincial leaders finalized the plan to expand Vinh city.

Accordingly, when expanding administrative boundaries, along with the existing area and population, Vinh city will have the entire administrative boundary of Cua Lo town with a total area of ​​29.12km2and a population of 57,445 people in 7 wards: Nghi Hai, Nghi Hoa, Nghi Huong, Nghi Tan, Nghi Thu, Nghi Thuy, Thu Thuy; with an area of ​​47.14km2and a population of 55,310 people in 6 communes of Nghi Loc district including: Nghi Xuan, Phuc Tho, Nghi Thai, Nghi Phong, Nghi Thach and Khanh Hop.

The above conference is a step to implement Decision No. 827/QD-TTg dated June 12, 2020 of the Prime Minister approving the Project to develop Vinh city, Nghe An province into an economic and cultural center of the North Central region by 2023 in the spirit of Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW dated July 30, 2013 of the Politburo. Accordingly, the development perspective is that Vinh city will include Cua Lo and some communes of Nghi Loc and Hung Nguyen districts, becoming a modern, civilized and prosperous city.

Currently, in Cua Lo town, there are more than 100 projects of organizations assigned land or leased land by the Provincial People's Committee. Many projects have been implemented and put into use with basic planning and spatial layout in line with the spatial development orientation of Cua Lo town, contributing to improving urban architecture and landscape; increasing land use efficiency, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality./.
