Will survey and plan the construction of the Martyrs Temple in Nghe An province

On the afternoon of April 26, under the chairmanship of comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a regular meeting in April 2019 to listen to and approve a number of important programs and contents. Symbol honoring heroic martyrs

At the meeting, the Provincial Party Standing Committee listened to and gave opinions on the investment policy; selected survey locations and made a construction plan for the project: Construction of the Martyrs Temple of Nghe An Province. The project is invested by the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.

The Temple of Martyrs of Nghe An Province is a cultural and historical architectural work with profound spiritual significance, a symbol of honoring the heroic martyrs of Nghe An Province - the sons of the homeland who heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people, a place to commemorate the heroic martyrs of the province, and at the same time a place to educate the tradition of patriotism for today's and future generations.

Investing in the construction of the Martyrs Temple of Nghe An province to become a spiritual tourist destination of the province, a place for local people to visit and worship; Party and State leaders to visit, offer flowers and incense; and a place to organize events to pay tribute and commemorate the great contributions of heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives on the occasion of national and local holidays.

The Temple is expected to be built in Dung Quyet Mountain Area, Trung Do Ward, Vinh City.

Planned options for site selection for planning and construction:

- Option 1: The land belongs to Dung Quyet mountain area, Ben Thuy, Trung Do ward, Vinh city, belongs to the planning of the War Park, located in the historical relic complex of Quyet Mountain Park.

- Option 2: The land is located in Trung Long Park.

- Option 3: Land belonging to the historical relic complex of Xo Viet Nghe - Tinh in Thai Lao town, Hung Nguyen district: Currently under the project planning: Preserving and promoting the value of the historical relic of Xo Viet Nghe Tinh approved by the Provincial People's Committee.

- Option 4: Land in the Ancient Citadel area, Cua Nam ward, opposite Nghe An General Museum.

- Option 5: The surveyed land is within the scope of the "Detailed construction planning 1/2000 of Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard and the area on both sides of Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard", located near An Pagoda, Nghi Duc Commune, Vinh City.

After analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the above 5 options, the selected option is option 1.

Commenting on this content, the members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee highly agreed with the policy of building a memorial area for martyrs in Nghe An province. This is a necessary and meaningful work to remember and honor the great contributions of heroes, martyrs and people with revolutionary contributions in the resistance wars to liberate the nation and protect the Fatherland.

Research the most suitable option

According to Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Thi Thu Huong: If the project is built in the Dung Quyet Mountain area, it will create a spiritual tourism complex of Lam River and Quyet Mountain. In addition, when implementing the site clearance work, it will have little impact on the residents. In order for the project to be implemented, it is necessary to divide the investment into phases, promote information and propaganda work, and call for resource mobilization from businesses and children of the homeland.

Agreeing with the policy of building a Martyrs Memorial Temple of the province, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy suggested that the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs coordinate with the consulting unit to determine the specific location, planning site, total investment; calculate and include it in the medium-term construction investment program 2021-2025.

In the context of budget difficulties, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs needs to coordinate with all levels and sectors to mobilize investment capital; research locations near the center so that people can conveniently come to burn incense. The construction of the Martyrs' Temple must ensure solemnity and dignity. After construction, the Temple will become an address to display war relics in the province that will be gathered here, becoming a "red address" to educate revolutionary traditions for generations, especially the young generation.

Unanimously approving the policy of building the complex, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that this is a policy to pay tribute to fallen heroes and martyrs. According to the planning scheme, the complex will be large in scale, with a high total investment, and it is necessary to mobilize funds to implement the project; absolutely not leaving the construction unfinished.

The Provincial Party Secretary assigned the Provincial People's Committee to study the most reasonable plan, the complex must be located in a favorable location associated with the overall planning, associated with the province's established historical relics; requested relevant units to do a good job of propaganda, collect opinions from cadres, party members, veteran revolutionary cadres and the masses to choose the most reasonable and effective survey location and project construction planning.

At the meeting, the Provincial Party Standing Committee also agreed on the policy of converting rice-growing land to carry out construction investment projects in Dong Vinh ward and Cua Nam ward, Vinh city.
