Appraisal of recognition of Tang Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district to meet advanced new rural standards

In more than 5 years of implementing and carrying out the construction of advanced new rural areas, the Party Committee and people's government of Tang Thanh commune, district...Yen ThanhAlways in agreement, dynamic and creative in thinking and doing, thanks to that, the whole commune has mobilized total resources to effectively build advanced new rural areas.In particular, the commune's rural infrastructure has been invested in and upgraded synchronously and spaciously, effectively serving the production and daily life of the people.

During the advanced NTM construction phase, the commune has built 8.36 km of concrete roads, 2.7 km of asphalt roads, solidified 6.7 km of canals, built new kindergarten and primary school systems, medical stations, and incinerators. Built new cultural houses and sports areas for 5/7 hamlets, and upgraded and added 6 transformer stations.

Forms of production organization have been innovated and operated effectively, the commune has exploited the potential for economic development such as greenhouse models, livestock farming, etc. Average income per capita reached more than 52 million VND/person/year. The poverty rate has decreased to only 1.09%.

After inspection and assessment, Ms. Vo Thi Nhung - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements in the process of implementing the construction of advanced new rural areas of Tang Thanh commune. Despite many difficulties, since the implementation of the construction of new rural areas, the appearance of Tang Thanh has improved a lot, the material and spiritual life of the people has been improved. In particular, 15/15 criteria of advanced new rural areas have all met the quality standards, in which cultural facilities and schools stand out.

According to the plan, Tang Thanh strives to achieve a model new rural commune by 2023.
