Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs presents gifts to poor children overcoming difficulties in Hung Nguyen district

(Baonghean.vn) - Carrying out a series of activities in response to the Month of Action for Children 2023, on the morning of June 17, a working delegation of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha visited and presented gifts to children in difficult circumstances in Hung Nguyen district.

Joining the delegation were comrades: Major General Tran Duc Thuan - Standing Member of the National Defense and Security Committee; Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa - Deputy Head of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education; Nguyen Thi Hien - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Children's Fund and representatives of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Provincial Children's Fund.

At the program, the delegation presented 230 gifts with a total value of 185 million VND, drawn from the mobilization of the Vietnam Children's Fund through the Provincial Children's Fund, to students in especially difficult circumstances in the two communes of Xuan Lam and Hung Tay.

Accordingly, in Xuan Lam commune, the delegation awarded 50 scholarships, each worth 1,000,000 VND to 50 poor but studious students; 20 bicycles, each worth 1,750,000 VND to 20 children in difficult circumstances in the commune.

In Hung Tay commune, the delegation also awarded 50 scholarships, each worth 1,000,000 VND, to 50 poor but studious students; 10 bicycles, each worth 1,750,000 VND, to 10 disadvantaged children in the area.

In addition, each child receiving a scholarship and bicycle on this occasion will also receive a gift (including cakes, candy, milk, etc.).

The gift-giving program of the Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and Central delegates to disadvantaged students in Hung Nguyen district is a meaningful activity to encourage them to excel in their studies and life; strive to become good children, good students, and useful citizens in the future.

Tomorrow, June 18, the delegation will continue to work in Nghi Loc district and present 100 scholarships and gifts to 100 poor children who have overcome difficulties there./.
