Continue to closely monitor karaoke service businesses in Vinh City during the holidays.

On the occasion of the April 30 and May 1 holidays, the number of visitors to Vinh City and neighboring areas increased, plus many people working far away returned to visit their hometowns, so the demand for usekaraoke serviceincreased dramatically. Grasping this situation, the police force of communes and wards as well as local authorities in the area have continued to strengthen close supervision of karaoke and bar businesses that do not meet the conditions for security and order (ANTT), fire prevention and fighting (PCCC).

In Truong Thi ward, there are currently 5 karaoke service businesses on the monitoring and supervision list of local authorities as well as functional agencies. Implementing the direction of Vinh City People's Committee in Document No. 1543/UBND-CA dated March 30, 2023, currently Truong Thi Ward Police have arranged forces to coordinate with the Ward People's Committee and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to organize a patrol team to take turns to monitor every night.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Son - Head of Truong Thi Ward Police said: During the holidays, in addition to performing the task of ensuring security and order, ensuring safety for cultural and political events held in the area, the patrol team continues to perform the task of monitoring karaoke and bar service establishments according to regulations.

"Because currently, karaoke establishments in the ward are not qualified to reopen, they have not yet opened. In addition to having the owners sign a commitment, the working group has determined that it will strictly handle cases of secretly opening the doors to let customers in to sing when they do not meet the conditions for security and fire prevention," Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Son added.

Currently, in Vinh City, there are 32 karaoke service businesses and 12 bar service businesses that have been suspended and committed to stop operating. Of these, 5 karaoke service businesses including Vertu, Bentley, Omega, Apec and karaoke 48 singing to each other are under special supervision. Implementing the direction of Vinh City People's Committee, the police of wards and communes in the area coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to closely monitor these karaoke and bar businesses.

According to the representative of Vinh City People's Committee, the demand for karaoke and bar services during the holidays is very high, and having to stop operations will cause a significant loss of revenue for these establishments. However, the view of the City People's Committee is that establishments must meet the requirements of security and fire prevention before they can operate, otherwise they will continue to be monitored until they meet the requirements to be licensed again.
