On the afternoon of January 15, the Vinh Diocese Bishop's Palace led by Bishop Nguyen Van Vien - Auxiliary Bishop of Vinh Diocese visited and extended New Year greetings to the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and Nghe An Provincial Police on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2020.The delegation included priests from the Vinh Diocese Bishop's Palace, representatives of Vinh Thanh Major Seminary, and representatives of religious orders.

Bishop Nguyen Van Vien affirmed: In the coming time, the Vinh Diocese will continue to mobilize parishioners to promote the spirit of solidarity, actively contribute to the socio-economic development, and maintain security and national defense of the province.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Son, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee leaders, thanked the attention of the bishop and members of the delegation. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son also informed the delegation of the very encouraging socio-economic development results of Nghe An province in 2019 and stated: The active contributions of priests, dignitaries, officials and parishioners in patriotic emulation movements have contributed to making the province increasingly prosperous.

Next, Bishop Nguyen Van Vien and members of the delegation came to congratulate the People's Committee of Nghe An province on the New Year. The delegation was received by comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office.

Comrade Le Hong Vinh respectfully thanked Bishop Nguyen Van Vien and the delegation for their good wishes. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also informed and discussed with the delegation the contents and orientations of Nghe An in the coming time, focusing on urban development planning as well as building sustainable cultural values.
