(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of January 25, there were 14 flights to Vinh by all airlines: Vietnam Airlines, Bamboo, Vietjet, Jetstar were forced to cancel flights due to bad weather.

Mr. Vo Huy Thanh - Deputy Director of Vinh International Airport said that due to the influence of bad weather and thick fog, last night, January 25, up to 14 flights to Vinh City of all airlines had to be diverted or canceled.

Mr. Thanh also said that this situation caused more than 1,000 passengers scheduled to arrive at Vinh airport to have to go to another airport or wait at other airports for the next flight. After being forced to cancel the flight suddenly due to bad weather, the airlines also arranged for passengers to be re-accommodated on the next flight if the weather is favorable again.

"Currently, the weather in Vinh is still complicated, it is sunny during the day but foggy at night, so it is not yet possible to confirm whether there will be any more flights canceled tonight. The airlines will decide whether to cancel or postpone flights," Mr. Thanh shared.
