Nghe An Ethnic Minority High School celebrates 40th anniversary and receives Third Class Labor Medal
On the evening of November 30, Nghe An Ethnic Boarding High School solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate its 40th anniversary and receive the Third Class Labor Medal (2nd time).
Attending the ceremony, on behalf of the central ministries and branches, there was comrade Bui Quang Huy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee; Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments, branches and sectors; along with many generations of teachers and students of the school.

Proud of 40 years of construction and growth
On December 4, 1982, Nghe Tinh Ethnic Minority Youth School was established, the predecessor of the current Nghe An Ethnic Minority Boarding High School.
In 1984, the first opening ceremony was held, opening up opportunities for generations of highland students to study, train and mature.

Over the past 40 years, from this school, thousands of students have become highly qualified officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers, meeting the demand for quality human resources for ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
Many of them have become leaders and key officials in Party agencies, government, Fatherland Front and mass organizations at all levels.

According to statistics, 4,206/4,943 high school graduates continued to study at universities, colleges and pre-university. In the 2023-2024 school year alone, the school's average high school graduation exam score ranked 4th in the province.
In recent years, Nghe An Ethnic Boarding High School has made great strides in improving the quality of comprehensive education.

The spearhead quality has achieved excellent results, many students have won high prizes in the provincial 12th grade excellent student selection exam, the provincial Science and Technology competition, the TIMO Math competition and
other international science and technology competitions.
Many teachers, cadres and employees have been honored by the Party and the State. Two school administrators were awarded the title of “Excellent Teacher” by the President; many teachers were awarded the title of “Outstanding Nghe An Teacher”, the “Education Talent Development Fund” and many Certificates of Merit, Certificates of Merit, and titles of Emulation Fighters at all levels.

In recognition of its outstanding achievements and great contributions, the school was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal twice (1994, 2023), the Second Class Labor Medal (1999) and the First Class Labor Medal (2004) from the President.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged, warmly congratulated and commended the achievements of generations of teachers and students of Nghe An Ethnic Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities who have strived and achieved in the past time.
Excited and proud of the tradition and achievements, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that teachers and students of Nghe An Ethnic Boarding High School need to promote the tradition of the past 40 years, continue to bring the school to develop steadily to new heights, in line with the educational requirements in the current period and reach the level of international integration.

To achieve the above goal, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long requested that the school's staff, teachers and students continue to effectively implement major policies of the Party and State, the Education sector, the province and major campaigns.
Continue to effectively implement the construction of Nghe An Ethnic Boarding High School into a high-quality key school, leading the group of specialized schools. Continue to improve the quality of comprehensive education, spearhead education, taking innovation as the driving force for development; build a development strategy with regional and international integration.

Focus on professional implementation, develop scientific teaching programs, suitable for facilities and staff conditions. Ensure the school's output quality meets national, regional and international standards; contribute to providing high-quality human resources for the locality and the country.
Do better in building a team of cadres and teachers to meet the requirements of high-quality key schools. Focus on seriously and effectively implementing the regulations on organization and operation of ethnic boarding schools.

For the students, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long hopes to continue to raise awareness and self-awareness in studying and training, preparing themselves with the best provisions to establish themselves in the future, build a career, serve their homeland and country, and be worthy of the trust of their families, schools and society.
On this occasion, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that Party committees, authorities, and socio-political organizations have specific plans and measures to continue investing and building facilities, building a healthy educational environment, and creating conditions for schools to excellently complete their tasks.
