Posthumously awarded the First Class Labor Medal by the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to comrade Ho Duc Binh
On the morning of January 1, 2025, in Quynh Thach commune, Quynh Luu district, Voice of Vietnam Radio in coordination with Nghe An province organized a ceremony to posthumously award the First Class Labor Medal of the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to comrade Ho Duc Binh - Technical expert of Voice of Vietnam Radio.

Attending the ceremony were comrades of the Party Central Committee: Ho Duc Phoc - Deputy Prime Minister; Do Tien Sy - General Director of Voice of Vietnam.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; and leaders of Quynh Luu district.

Comrade Ho Duc Binh was born in 1935 in the revolutionary land of Quynh Thach commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province. In 1951, he joined the revolution and officially became a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam in 1965. With high expertise and a spirit of constant dedication, Comrade Ho Duc Binh has made important contributions to the broadcasting career of both Vietnam and Laos.

During the period from 1965 to 1975, comrade Ho Duc Binh was sent by the Voice of Vietnam to Laos to provide technical support, train human resources, repair equipment, and contribute to the construction and development of the Lao National Radio Station. After 1975, he continued to participate in the construction of radio stations in Hua Phan and Xieng Khouang provinces. Those contributions not only demonstrated the intelligence and talent of an engineer but also showed his deep affection for the brotherly country of Laos.

Authorized by the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Comrade Do Tien Sy - Member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam presented the First Class Labor Medal to Ms. Hoang Thi Nha, wife of Comrade Ho Duc Binh and her family.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam Do Tien Sy affirmed: The President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic posthumously awarded the First Class Labor Medal to comrade Ho Duc Binh is not only a worthy recognition of his contributions but also a symbol of the solidarity and sustainable cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in the field of broadcasting in particular and communications in general. This is a great honor not only for comrade Ho Duc Binh's family, but also for the Voice of Vietnam and his hometown Nghe An.

On behalf of his family, comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister (son of comrade Ho Duc Binh) respectfully thanked the Party and State of the Lao People's Democratic Republic for posthumously awarding the First Class Labor Medal to comrade Ho Duc Binh for his great contributions to the broadcasting career; and at the same time deeply thanked the Voice of Vietnam Radio Station, where comrade Ho Duc Binh had worked and devoted most of his life. It was the guidance, facilitation and recognition of the Radio Station that helped comrade Ho Duc Binh successfully complete the assigned tasks./.
