The strong impact caused many holes in the ship, water and sand flooded into the hull, causing the ship to be "buried" on the rocks. All the seafood caught was washed away by the seawater.
Immediately after the accident, the ship owner mobilized his family and local people to help, and contacted the People's Committee of Dien Chau district and Dien Thanh Border Guard Station to come up with a rescue plan.

By the morning of June 7, the ship could not be brought ashore due to the severe damage. It is known that only a part of the ship's machinery can be saved, the rest of the parts must be discarded.
Ms. Lien - wife of ship owner Nguyen Van Xuan sadly said: "We just borrowed money from the bank, relatives just bought this ship for over 200 million VND, recently, the family spent 80 million VND to repair it. However, just after going back to sea, the accident happened, now my husband and I don't know where to turn because all our capital and assets have been invested in the ship...".
