(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 9, in Cua Lo town (Nghe An province), the Office of the Government of Vietnam and the Office of the Lao Prime Minister jointly organized a workshop on general advisory work to assist the Government and the Prime Minister.

The conference was chaired by comrades: Tran Van Son - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister, Head of the Government Office of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; A-lun-xay Xun-na-lat - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister, Head of the Prime Minister's Office of the Lao PDR; Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission; Commander of Military Region 4; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province.

COOPERATION IS MORE AND MORE PRACTICAL AND EFFECTIVE

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Tran Van Son - Minister, Head of the Office of the Government of Vietnam said that since 2012, this is the 5th workshop within the framework of cooperation between the Offices of the Governments of Vietnam and Laos. This shows that the cooperative relationship and exchange of work experience between the two Offices has been substantial, effective and in-depth.

The Minister - Head of the Office of the Government of Vietnam emphasized that the effectiveness and efficiency of the direction and administration of the Government and the Prime Minister depends largely on the quality of the advisory and synthesis work of the office. Through this workshop, the staff and civil servants of each agency must constantly learn and improve their professional capacity; and share experiences to better serve their professional work.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that Nghe An is an important province, converging common factors, at the same time having many specific and distinct factors. Nghe An has the longest common border with Laos in the country, more than 468 km; adjacent to 3 provinces of Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan and Bolikhamxay.

The terrain, history, and culture of the border area between Nghe An and the localities of neighboring Laos have many similarities. The people here live in harmony and closeness; there are long-standing neighborly and kinship relationships, so there are frequent economic and cultural exchanges in many diverse forms.

Carrying out comprehensive cooperation activities with localities of Laos has always been considered one of the particularly important political tasks of Nghe An. Over the years, generations of leaders of Nghe An province have regularly inherited, cultivated and promoted the traditional values ​​of friendship between the two countries in general.

Up to now, besides traditional cooperation with 3 provinces sharing the border, namely Hua Phan, Xieng Khouang and Bolikhamxay, Nghe An has expanded cooperative relations with the capital Vientiane, the provinces of Khammouane, Savannakhet, Xay Som Bun...

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung also said that the valuable exchanges between the Office of the Government of Vietnam and the Office of the Lao Prime Minister at the workshop will help leaders and officials of Nghe An province in general and the Office of the Provincial People's Committee in particular learn, research and apply into practice in advising and directing, contributing to the successful implementation of the socio-economic development goals and political tasks of the province.

CONTINUE TO PROMOTE EXCHANGE OF EXPERIENCES IN MANY FORMS AND CONTENTS

At the workshop, leaders of units under the Office of the Government of Vietnam presented papers related to new points in the Working Regulations of the Government of Vietnam for the 2021-2026 term; the role of the Government Office in reviewing Government projects and draft laws; current results of administrative reform, environmental improvement and enhancement of national competitiveness and the role of the Government Office in general advisory work, assisting the Government and the Prime Minister.

During the discussion, representatives of units under the Lao Prime Minister's Office and the Minister and Head of the Prime Minister's Office directly asked questions about issues of concern; leaders of units and the Vietnamese Government Office answered, discussed, clarified, and shared experiences in providing comprehensive advice to the Government and the Prime Minister.

Concluding the workshop, Comrade Tran Van Son - Minister, Head of the Office of the Government of Vietnam said that the workshop was a great success. Through the workshop, we further realized the significance and importance of the comprehensive advisory work of the two Offices for the activities of the Government and the administration of the Prime Minister of each country.

The workshop also helped to better understand the work of each Office and draw some necessary lessons from the specific situation of each country. Although different, the two Offices have many things in common to refer to and learn from each other.

The Minister and Head of the Office of the Government of Vietnam also agreed that in the coming time, they will continue to promote the exchange of experiences in many forms and with rich content on personnel organization, content preparation, reception, logistics, serving the activities of the Government, the Prime Minister, etc. If the general staff work is done well, the management and administration of the Government, the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Ministers will be good.
