The press needs to promote activities to celebrate the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.

In April 2020, the issue of Covid-19 prevention and control was clearly reflected by the press and media agencies, from the epidemic situation, response measures, direction and management of provincial leaders and functional agencies in implementing urgent measures in Covid-19 prevention. The press agencies also actively promoted good examples, noble deeds in the community, sharing during the epidemic season and refuting false and baseless rumors on social networks.

The press agencies also strongly promoted the theme of the 45th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. They informed and evaluated the results achieved in implementing socio-economic targets in the first 4 months of the year; reflected on issues arising in socio-economic life taking place in the area, directly affecting people's lives, and attracted public attention.

At the conference, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department informed about a number of key activities to celebrate the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh. Specifically, there will be 6 key activities taking place, including: Ceremony to celebrate the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh on May 17, 2020; National workshop to celebrate the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh on May 8, 2020; Conference to commend typical examples in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style on May 16, 2020; Live TV bridge with the theme "President Ho Chi Minh - Shining Vietnamese will" on May 19, 2020; Exhibition of large-scale propaganda paintings to celebrate the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh at Ho Chi Minh Square from May 15, 2020 to May 30, 2020; Commencement and completion of a number of projects to celebrate the 130th anniversary of his birth.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department highly appreciated the propaganda work of press agencies in April on the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic as well as the work of removing difficulties to stabilize production.

Regarding the propaganda orientation in May 2020, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested press agencies to focus on propagating Party congresses at all levels towards the 13th National Party Congress; the results of implementing the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of Party congresses at all levels for the 2015-2020 term under the theme "Imprints of the 2015-2020 term".

At the same time, press agencies continue to promote Covid-19 prevention and control work so that people can proactively raise awareness, avoid subjectivity but also not cause panic.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department suggested that press agencies step up propaganda activities to celebrate the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2020), in conjunction with the results of the synthesis of Plan No. 196-KH/TU of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee with the theme "Nghe An follows Uncle Ho's advice". Continue to propagate the results of implementing Resolution 26 of the Politburo on the direction and tasks for the development of Nghe An province until 2020 and future orientations; the Patriotic Emulation Congress of Nghe An province for the period 2015-2020; preparations for the 2019-2020 National High School Exams; and fight against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the new situation.
