Do Luong town is the economic and political center of Do Luong district; it is the southwestern gateway of Nghe An province, with National Highway 7, National Highway 15 and National Highway 46B intersecting. Do Luong town with about 2,500 households and more than 10,000 people is divided into 10 blocks, of which 6 are agricultural production blocks, 3 are commercial business blocks, and 1 is a general labor block; with infrastructure ensuring favorable conditions for diversified economic development.

Reflecting his thoughts to the National Assembly delegates, voter Nguyen Phuc Canh, hamlet 9, Da Son commune, was worried about the increasingly depleted mineral resources. However, the Song Lam cement factory located in the area regularly mines stone from Hong Son and Bai Son escarpments and transports it elsewhere. Meanwhile, local people do not have stone to use for housing construction. Therefore, voters recommended that the National Assembly and the Government take timely measures to avoid wasting mineral resources.

Regarding traffic issues, voter Vu Hong Tan (Do Luong Town) said that the road section from National Highway 7A to Do Luong Town intersection was invested by the state since 2014. However, currently, heavy-duty vehicles frequently travel through, causing this road section to increasingly deteriorate and subside, significantly affecting the lives of people living nearby. Therefore, voters hope that the authorities will increase patrols, control and punishment of overloaded vehicles in the area.

Besides, in recent years, the issue of over-collection and over-spending has emerged, causing many shortcomings in education. Voters suggested that the National Assembly and the Government should have specific regulations on contributions to school construction to serve teaching and learning needs and improve the quality of education.

Competent authorities have advised provincial leaders to stipulate maximum and minimum levels for regions to contribute and build in a way that is reasonable with the economic conditions of each locality.
