Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh attended the 40th anniversary of the tradition of the Military Region 4 Economic Cooperation Corporation
On the morning of March 22, in Vinh City, the Military Region 4 Economic Cooperation Corporation solemnly celebrated its 40th anniversary of tradition (March 23, 1985 - March 23, 2025).
Delegates from the Lao PDR attending the ceremony included: Thoong Loi - Si Vong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Kham Phau - On Tha Van - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam.
Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Minh Tam - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Lao PDR.
The leaders of Military Region 4 include: Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh - Commander of the Military Region; Lieutenant General Tran Vo Dung - Party Secretary, Political Commissar of the Military Region.
Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the Ceremony.
At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the 40-year tradition of building and growing the Military Region 4 Economic Cooperation Corporation.
Exactly 40 years ago, on March 23, 1985, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Military Region 4 Command decided to establish the Economic Cooperation Company to carry out the task of economic development, infrastructure construction and contribute to ensuring security in the border area between Vietnam and Laos, with the initial scale being only a single-industry production site.
After 40 years of construction and growth, with the tradition of "Solidarity, dynamism, innovation, creativity", the Corporation has developed multi-industry production and business, successfully completing the task of combining national defense, security and economic development, performing well the role of "fighting army, working army, production labor army".
In particular, the Corporation has performed well in foreign affairs, helping Lao localities develop their economy and society, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty; and excellently completed all tasks.
With the glorious results and achievements in 40 years of construction and development, the Corporation has been honored to receive many noble awards from the Party, State, and Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam and Laos. The Party and State of Vietnam awarded the title of Hero of Labor in the Renovation Period; First and Third Class Labor Medals; Second Class Military Exploit Medals. For many consecutive years, the Ministry of National Defense and the Military Region Command have awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag.
The Lao State, Government and Ministry of National Defense awarded: First and Second Class Labor Medals; Friendship Medals; First and Second Class Development Medals; First and Second Class Heroic Medals; and many other noble awards from central and local agencies, ministries and branches in the working areas of Vietnam and Laos.
On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of its tradition, the Military Region Economic Cooperation Corporation was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister; the Minister of National Defense sent a letter of commendation.
Lao PDR awarded the Friendship Medal to the Corporation and 7 individuals. The Minister of National Defense awarded a Certificate of Merit.
At the ceremony, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh - Commander of Military Region 4 delivered a congratulatory speech and presented the Banner of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Military Region Command to the Corporation with the words: "Solidarity, initiative, creativity - good foreign affairs, skillful mass mobilization, effective production and business, worthy of the title "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new era".
