Voters propose early support policies for 12 households affected by natural disasters in Tuong Duong
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 2, in Luong Minh commune (Tuong Duong), comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the meeting of the Provincial People's Council delegates to meet voters of 3 communes: Luong Minh, Xa Luong and Yen Na. This is a preparation activity for the mid-year meeting of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026.

At the conference, representatives of the Provincial People's Council briefly reported on the socio-economic situation of Nghe An province in the first 6 months of the year, key tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2023; reported on the results of handling voters' opinions and recommendations before, during and after the 11th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council and announced the expected content and agenda of the mid-year 2023 session of the 18th Provincial People's Council.

Attending the conference, voters of Luong Minh, Xa Luong and Yen Na communes had many recommendations to send to People's Council delegates at all levels.
Voters recommend that People's Committees at all levels need to have long-term solutions in linking the consumption of medicinal and food plant products, from input, scientific and technical consulting to product output, in order to contribute to improving people's lives.
Voters of Luong Minh commune proposed that competent authorities should have solutions to support vocational training for workers from ethnic minorities, poor households, and near-poor households; support workers from ethnic minorities, poor households, and near-poor households to borrow 100% of capital to go abroad to work.

Officials and residents of Thach Duong village (Xa Luong) requested the provincial and district People's Council delegates to consult with Tuong Duong Electricity Company to soon find a solution to support the construction of electric poles for 10 households in Khe Nong area. Currently, households here are using wooden poles and temporary self-pulled electric lines, which are now damaged, posing a potential risk to human life and livestock.
Regarding traffic infrastructure, voters of Luong Minh commune proposed that competent authorities continue to allocate budget for investment and construction of the remaining items of the route from Coi village to Ca Moong village; allocate budget to upgrade the entire route 543B to provincial road standards; allocate budget to build a rigid bridge across Nam Non river to enter 4 inner villages of Luong Minh commune.
Along with that, the people of Ca Moong and Xop Chao villages also requested the competent authorities to urgently measure, adjust land use changes and issue land use right certificates to the people.

Voters of Luong Minh commune also proposed that competent authorities soon have new resettlement solutions for 12 households in La village affected by natural disasters in 2018. Voters and people of Lo, Khe Ngau, Cua Rao 2, and Thach Duong villages requested the Provincial People's Committee to consult with Khe Bo Hydropower Plant to speed up the procedures for granting red land certificates to households affected by Khe Bo Hydropower Plant.
In addition, recommendations related to the regime and policies for officials at the village and commune levels were also raised by voters at the conference.
At the conference, representatives of the Tuong Duong District People's Council answered a number of issues within their authority. Receiving and responding to voters' recommendations, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu discussed in detail the issues that voters were interested in.

Regarding the issues of transport infrastructure, cultural houses, clean water, electricity, etc., the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that to do so, it is necessary to base on the 3 national target programs and the budget. For the district level, it is necessary to balance the budget and arrange implementation in order of priority.
Regarding the 12 households in La village affected by natural disasters in 2018, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu said that the Provincial People's Committee has reported and requested the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to study policies and provide additional funding for households to buy land and build houses to stabilize their lives soon. While finalizing the policy, the province will review the subjects that need to be paid in advance for support according to regulations.
Regarding the content related to the regime and policies on vocational training and loans for labor export, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee stated that poor and near-poor households can borrow 100% of the capital but not more than 100 million VND; people with contracts with companies sending laborers abroad can borrow less than 100 million VND with preferential interest rates and without having to mortgage.
In addition, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also explained and clarified many issues raised by voters.
