Sharing voters’ concerns about the information that the National Assembly leases land for 99 years, delegate Nguyen Huu Cau affirmed that this is fabricated and false information to incite the trust and patriotism of the Vietnamese people. “Every inch of the country’s land is inviolable,” the delegate emphasized.
Regarding the Law on Special Administrative-Economic Units, delegate Nguyen Huu Cau said that many countries in the world have issued them, such as Thailand, Myanmar, Japan, Korea, India, China, and the trend of many countries is to continue building many special zones to create momentum for socio-economic development. In Vietnam, the Law on Special Administrative-Economic Units has 6 chapters and 85 articles, focusing on 3 main contents: planning, building preferential policy institutions and building political institutions.
The delegates suggested that voters must trust the Party's leadership and the source of the Law so as not to be exploited by bad forces, and hoped that voters would support the development of the Law on Special Administrative-Economic Units to create a breakthrough in terms of institutions, creating momentum for the country's economy to grow faster and stronger. In particular, in the near future, the entire content of this Law will be widely publicized, so that voters can contribute their heartfelt opinions.
Regarding the Law on Anti-Corruption, delegate Nguyen Huu Cau emphasized that corruption is a national disaster. Recently, the Party and the State have been taking drastic measures, affirming that there are no forbidden zones. All corrupt subjects will be brought to light and strictly dealt with.
Taking note of voters’ recommendations on the fact that the laws are not yet understood deeply and clearly by the people, delegate Nguyen Huu Cau said that this is a common situation because while the laws are large in volume, departments and branches have not yet disseminated them promptly and fully. Delegates will take note and report to the National Assembly in the following sessions.
