This move was made after more than a week of Quy Hop district recording no new Covid-19 infections. Those related to Covid-19 patients have repeatedly tested negative.
Previously, on June 17, a man in Nghia Xuan commune went to the medical station to report when he received information that an acquaintance in Bac Giang had contracted Covid-19. Test results later showed that this man was infected.
According to the declaration, on June 11, he and his wife went to Bac Giang to buy fabric to sell in Da Nang. On June 15, he returned to his hometown in Nghia Xuan. While buying fabric in Bac Giang, he had contact with a Covid-19 patient.
As of June 25, the patient’s wife and three children were confirmed to be infected with Covid-19. All of these people had been quarantined beforehand.
Immediately, locations related to the patients were locked down and socially isolated according to Directive 16. Some remaining hamlets with lower risk were socially distanced according to Directive 15.
