Introducing 5 candidates to be elected as members of the National Assembly Standing Committee

On the morning of April 6, after dismissing a number of members of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairmen of a number of National Assembly Committees and the Secretary General of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee submitted a list of nominees for the National Assembly to elect the National Assembly Standing Committee to replace these positions.

The five nominated personnel include Deputy Chief of the Party Central Office Nguyen Dac Vinh; Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee Bui Van Cuong; Deputy Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee Vu Hai Ha; Deputy Head of the Science, Technology and Environment Committee Le Quang Huy and Deputy Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh.

From April 2016 to December 2019, the Politburo assigned Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh to hold the position of Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee and transferred him to the position of Deputy Chief of the Central Party Office at the end of 2019.

Mr. Bui Van Cuong was born in 1965, from Kinh Mon town, Hai Duong province, is a member of the Party Central Committee, 11th (alternate), 12th, 13th terms; a National Assembly delegate, 13th, 14th terms.

In July 2019, Mr. Cuong was assigned to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and has held the position of Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee since then.

Mr. Vu Hai Ha was born in 1969, from Hai Hau district, Nam Dinh province, is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee and a delegate of the 13th and 14th National Assembly.

In July 2011, he was a Standing Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly and has held the position of Vice Chairman of the Committee since November 2013.

Mr. Le Quang Huy was born in 1966, from Hoai Duc district, Hanoi, is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee; a National Assembly delegate of the 12th, 13th, and 14th terms.

He was transferred to the position of Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee from March 2014. At the end of 2017, he held the position of Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh was born in 1967, from Yen Mo district, Ninh Binh province. She is a member of the Party Central Committee of the 11th, 12th, and 13th terms and a delegate of the 12th and 14th National Assembly.

In August 2003, she held the position of Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee and was transferred to the position of Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee and Deputy Head of the Delegation Work Committee in March 2020.

This afternoon, the National Assembly will hold a secret ballot and vote to pass the Resolution to elect the above positions./.
