On the morning of June 15, in Quy Hop district town, comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council had a meeting with voters of 10 units, including the town and the communes of Chau Quang, Chau Cuong, Chau Thanh, Chau Hong, Chau Tien, Chau Thai, Chau Ly, Bac Son, Nam Son. Opening the meeting with voters, Comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council announced the expected content and agenda of the thematic session and the regular mid-year session of 2022 of the Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term.

At the two sessions, the People's Council will consider and approve 42 resolutions. Of particular interest are the Resolution on the medium-term plan for the 2021-2025 period and the 2022 plan, the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas; the Resolution stipulating principles, criteria, and norms for allocating state budget capital to implement the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas in Nghe An Province for the 2021-2030 period, Phase I: From 2021 to 2025; the Resolution stipulating specific tuition fees for public preschool and general education institutions in Nghe An Province from the 2022-2023 school year...

At the regular mid-year meeting, the Provincial People's Council will also consider and approve the Resolution to establish a specialized supervision delegation of the Provincial People's Council on state management of minerals in Nghe An province.

Reporting on the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of the year and tasks and solutions for 2022, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized that the greatest success is that the Covid-19 epidemic is controlled, bringing people's lives back to normal; the socio-economy has steps of recovery and growth.

Better response to voters' wishes

Voter Nguyen Van Suu - Chairman of the Town People's Committee reflected that in the area, there are currently a number of companies and production and business enterprises that have not yet had land lease decisions, causing both loss of land use rights collection fees and difficulties in local state management.

On the other hand, the relevant authorities need to have a mechanism to remove the shortcomings for households living on the edge of hills and mountains who need to level and expand the land for housing or expand the campus but are not allowed to transport excess leveled soil to other places.

Voter Nguyen Trung Ninh (Block 6, Quy Hop town) reflected that the 35kV power grid passes through residential areas, affecting the rights of people, making it difficult to renovate, upgrade, and build houses, and requested that all levels pay attention.

Voter Vi Thi Quang (Chau Quang commune) reported that the construction of National Highway 48C passing through Dong Nai hamlet still had 5 households whose land could not be cleared, leading to no drainage ditches, causing flooding, causing both a foul smell and seeping into people's domestic water wells; requesting that all levels have solutions to overcome this.

This voter also recommended that all levels pay attention to overcoming the consequences of mineral activities in the area, ensuring the environment, especially the water environment in rivers and streams, including Nam Ton stream in Chau Quang commune.

Voters also reflected on many issues related to the granting of certificates for cases of land granted without authority; granting certificates to 33 households in the collective housing area of ​​Nghe Tinh Non-ferrous Metal Company.

Some issues related to tuition fees, textbook prices; policies for those working in the hamlet; policies for demobilized soldiers with more than 10 years in the army... were also mentioned by voters.

Voters also recommended that all levels should have specific policies and mechanisms to support localities with mineral exploitation activities.

Following voters' opinions, leaders of the town and Quy Hop district directly answered many issues under their authority related to land and mineral management, environmental protection...; urban planning; special policies and mechanisms to support localities with mineral exploitation activities.

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Tung - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee also affirmed that in the process of leadership, direction and activities in life, if voters have any pressing issues or difficulties, they need to immediately reflect them through many channels, avoiding waiting until the voter contact conference to reflect, affecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people.
