At the dialogue, Mr. Ngo Duc Thuan - Chairman of the District People's Committee affirmed: The people's desire to receive forest land use right certificates associated with forest allocation is legitimate. Therefore, the local government must promptly implement the issuance of land use right certificates to the people. However, the people must also be responsible for protecting the forest. If there are violations in transferring or selling, it is recommended to the District People's Committee to revoke the land use right certificates.

In addition, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quy Chau district also requested the Chau Thuan commune government to review the commune's land fund to consider prioritizing land allocation to poor households and households with purely agricultural production. For households that exploit small fields, dig ponds to raise fish, grow rice, cassava, and bananas at the foot of protective forests, they are allowed to cultivate, but must maintain the current status of the protective forest and not encroach.

Quy Chau: 'Forest blood' flows again
(Baonghean) - More than 3 months ago, in Chau Phong commune (Quy Chau), a deforestation case occurred involving the Vice Chairman of the commune People's Committee. This case is "awaiting" the conclusion of the investigation, but the forest area of Chau Thuan commune has been destroyed in many places. Is the deforestation problem in the mountainous district of Quy Chau "heating up" again?

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Quy Chau district requested the Standing Committee of the Chau Thuan Commune Party Committee to strengthen inspection and supervision, and direct the Commune People's Committee to thoroughly handle the above-mentioned deforestation situation, absolutely not allowing violations to recur. Attaching the responsibility of the members of the Commune Party Committee Executive Committee and cadres in charge of villages in forest protection and development work, if any village allows illegal deforestation to occur, the cadres in charge of that area must be held responsible.
At the same time, the Forest Protection Department is assigned to coordinate with the District Police and relevant agencies to conduct inspections and prepare documents to handle households that violate the law. Avoid illegal deforestation and conversion of land use purposes after people are allocated forest land, which becomes an "effect", causing difficulties in forest management and protection.
