Tornado ripped off roofs of 16 households in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - 16 houses had their roofs blown off and 3 electric poles collapsed in a tornado that occurred on the afternoon of April 11 in Chau Thuan commune (Quy Chau).

In Bong 1 village, strong winds broke three electric poles, one of which fell on a house. Some shops had their corrugated iron roofs blown off. In Tham village, some houses had their roofs blown off.
Mr. Cam Ba Kinh, Chairman of Chau Thuan Commune People's Committee, said: The natural disaster did not cause any human casualties. Currently, the local government is calculating the damage.

Mr. Kinh added that after the tornado, forces including police and commune militia were mobilized to help people overcome the damage.

This is the second tornado to occur in Chau Thuan commune within the past 2 weeks.
Previously, on the evening of March 28, 2019, a tornado also occurred, causing dozens of houses to have their roofs blown off and one person to be injured.
