Floods on Ca River continue to rise, warning of landslides and flooding in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - According to forecasts, today (August 19), floods on the Ca River continue to rise, warning that some mountainous districts will continue to have landslides, and the localities: Do Luong, Thanh Chuong, Hung Nguyen, and Nam Dan are susceptible to flooding.

Floods in Buoi River, Chu River, and Ma River (Thanh Hoa) have peaked and are fluctuating at high levels; Hieu River and the upper reaches of Ca River (Nghe An) are on a downward trend; and the middle and lower reaches of Ca River are on an upward trend.
Water levels at 10:00 p.m. on August 18 on rivers are as follows:
On Buoi River at Kim Tan 11.19m, above BĐ2: 0.19m; Ma River at Cam Thuy: 19.02m, at BĐII level (BĐII: 19.00m); at Ly Nhan: 10.84m, below BĐ2: 0.16m
On Chu River at Bai Thuong: 15.75m, above BĐ1: 0.75m; at Xuan Khanh: 8.38m, below BĐ1: 0.62m;
On Hieu River at Quy Chau: 71.59m; At Nghia Khanh: 37.64m.
On the Ca River at Muong Xen: 139.25m; at Thach Giam: 69.33m (> historical: 0.43m); at Con Cuong: 30.47m; at Dua: 23.52m (
Forecast for the next 12 - 24 hours:Floods on Buoi River, Chu River, Ma River (Thanh Hoa); Hieu River, upstream and midstream Ca River (Nghe An) are on a downward trend; downstream Ca River continues to rise.
By noon this afternoon (August 19), the flood on Ca River continued to rise, at Nam Dan it reached 6.7m, below BĐ2: 0.2m.
Floods on the Ma River, the upper and middle reaches of the Ca River and the Chu River continue to fall. On the Ma River at Ly Nhan, the water level drops to 9.7m, 0.20m above level 1; On the Buoi River at Kim Tan, the water level drops to 10.5m, 0.5m below level 2; On the Chu River at Xuan Khanh, the water level drops to 7.8m, 1.2m below level 1; On the Ca River at Dua, the water level drops to 22.8m, 0.3m above level 2.
Warning:There is a high risk of landslides in mountainous and midland areas; subsidence along rivers in the districts of Lang Chanh, Muong Lat, Quan Hoa, Quan Son, Thuong Xuan, Nhu Thanh, Nhu Xuan, Ba Thuoc (Thanh Hoa); Tan Ky, Con Cuong, Ky Son, Que Phong, Quy Chau, Quy Hop, Tuong Duong (Nghe An); flooding in the areas of Thach Thanh, Yen Dinh (Thanh Hoa); Do Luong, Thanh Chuong, Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan (Nghe An).
