Nghe An: Field hospital expected to receive Covid-19 patients from June 29

On the morning of June 24, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghe An province had a meeting with the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Hung Nguyen district. Comrade Duong Dinh Chinh - Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of the province, Director of Nghe An Department of Health and Comrade Nguyen Thi Thom - Secretary of Hung Nguyen District Party Committee chaired the meeting.

On June 10, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Official Dispatch No. 3749/UBND on the establishment of a field hospital to treat Covid-19 patients. Hung Nguyen District Medical Center has been requisitioned as a field hospital.

The establishment of a field hospital is extremely necessary. When operational, Field Hospital No. 1 can treat 100 Covid-19 patients. Severe patients requiring ventilators and dialysis will be transferred to the Center for Tropical Diseases, Nghe An General Hospital... Currently, all levels of the sector are focusing on repairing, investing in equipment and completing the apparatus to soon put the Field Hospital into operation.

On June 23, Hung Nguyen Medical Center issued Notice No. 466/TTYT-KHNY on the temporary suspension of medical examination and treatment activities at Hung Nguyen District Medical Center from 0:00, June 24, 2021, only accepting Covid-19 patients.

The medical examination and treatment for people in Hung Nguyen district will be transferred to the following units: Vinh City General Hospital, Nghi Loc Hospital, Nam Dan Hospital. During the temporary suspension of operations, medical examination and treatment at 18 commune and town health stations will continue to be performed.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Duong Dinh Chinh highly appreciated the security and logistics plans of Hung Nguyen district for the field hospital and said: The health sector has been trying to complete the field hospital as soon as possible, expected to be put into operation on June 29 (next Tuesday). Most of the medical staff of the field hospital are transferred from Hung Nguyen Medical Center. The remaining staff of the Center will be reinforced for commune and town health stations.

Hung Nguyen district needs to implement Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control according to the motto of "wide investigation, isolation, narrow blockade, tracing, rapid testing"; promote "4 on-site, proactive human resources, no shortage of consumables as well as protective gear; be proactive, scientific, and wise in directing and operating and promoting the entire political system to participate in epidemic prevention and control work./.
