Previously, since the beginning of June 2021, the police force has received a lot of information from the people reflecting on signs of violations in the resettlement land allocation in Nghi Phong commune, Nghi Loc district. The provincial police leaders have directed the Nghi Loc district police to establish a special project to investigate and clarify the matter.

At the same time, decisions were made to prosecute Nguyen Dinh Hai (born in 1965, residing in Hamlet 8, Nghi Phong Commune, former Chairman of Nghi Phong Commune People's Committee) and Nguyen Hong Duc (born in 1978, residing in Hamlet 7, Nghi Phong Commune, cadastral officer of Nghi Phong Commune) for the crime of "Violating regulations oncompensation, support resettlement when the State reclaims land"; prosecuted defendant Nguyen Duc Kien (born in 1983), residing in hamlet 4, Nghi Phong commune for the crime of "Using fake documents of agencies and organizations".

Nghi Loc District Police also executed arrest warrants and search warrants for the residences and workplaces of the above suspects.
On October 4, 2021, the Nghi Loc District Police Investigation Agency coordinated with relevant agencies to serve the decisions according to regulations. Currently, the case is being further investigated.
