Nghe An: Highlights on November 4

*Afternoon of November 4,during the question and answer session of the Minister of Home AffairsPham Thi Thanh Tra, delegate Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies of Nghe An province said: The merger of communes and villages in the recent past has reduced the number of units, but increased the population size and natural area. While the number of cadres has decreased, the workload has increased, so it has increased the pressure on non-professional cadres at the commune, village and residential group levels.

According to the delegate of Nghe An, the allowance regime for non-professional staff is still the same as before the merger of communes, villages and residential groups. Decree No. 34/2019/ND-CP of the Government amending and supplementing a number of regulations on commune-level cadres, civil servants and non-professional workers at the commune, village and residential group levels is currently showing many shortcomings.

Responding to delegate Thai Thi An Chung and other National Assembly delegates, the Minister of Home Affairs replied: “We promise the National Assembly delegates that this is a very hot issue because we have received so many recommendations from voters, so we will work as quickly as possible to report to the Prime Minister to amend Decree No. 34.”

*Morning of November 4,Nghe An Provincial Party Committee coordinated with Regional Political Academy I to organize a Workshop"Promoting the role and capacity of the team of cadres doing propaganda work and lecturers teaching political theory in protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the current period" in Nghe An province.

Speaking at the Workshop, from the practical experience of directing propaganda work and protecting the Party's ideological foundation, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee shared a lot of valuable information and experience as well as raised a number of concerns that Party committees, Party organizations, cadres and Party members need to pay attention to.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that in order to effectively fight and refute wrong, hostile, and distorted viewpoints and protect the Party's ideological foundation, in addition to specialized forces, it is necessary to gather, attract, build, and use a team of collaborators with the same ideals and aspirations in society to support.

Comrade Nguyen Van Thong suggested that Party committees and organizations at all levels, during their activities, need to orient, encourage and create conditions for cadres and Party members to participate in fulfilling their responsibility to protect the Party's guidelines and fight against distorted information from hostile forces; at the same time, it is necessary to periodically include this content in the assessment and review of Party organizations and cadres and Party members.

*On November 4, during the working program in Con Cuong district,Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's CommitteeThe working delegation inspected the progress of projects, economic models, relics and scenic spots in the district.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung also inspected the planning of the Con Cuong District Administrative Center; Inspected the construction progress of Thanh Nam Bridge. *According to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Nghe An,workers go to work abroad through exportincreased sharply and accounted for the majority of workers connected and looking for new jobs in the first 10 months of this year.

Specifically, by the end of October, Nghe An created jobs for 43,554 workers, reaching 101.45% of the plan, up 43.1% over the same period.

Notably, among the newly employed workers, 20,105 are labor export workers, accounting for 46.1%, an increase of nearly 3 times compared to 2021 (over 6,700 workers) and nearly double the average of many years (from 12,000 - 13,000 workers).

Currently, Nghe An workers mainly go to Japan, Taiwan, Korea and the Middle East with quite high income, commonly from 10 - 40 million VND/person/month, 5-6 times higher than local workers.
