Many exciting activities towards the 60th anniversary of Vinh city's founding, 235 years of Phuong Hoang Trung Do - Vinh

On the morning of August 2, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications and the Provincial Journalists Association jointly organized the August 2023 press conference.

At the conference, comrade Tran Thi Cam Tu - Vice Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee informed about activities towards the 60th anniversary of Vinh city's establishment and 235 years of Phuong Hoang Trung Do - Vinh.

Accordingly, a series of welcoming events will take place throughout September, including the following activities: Flashmob Night; Exhibition of the logo gate welcoming the 60th anniversary of "Youth of Vinh - Steadfast Pioneer"; Miss Vinh Contest; Mass Arts Festival celebrating the 60th anniversary of the city's founding, the 235th anniversary of Phoenix Trung Do - Vinh and the Phoenix Trung Do Martial Arts Tournament. In particular, the Ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Vinh city, the 235th anniversary of Phoenix Trung Do - Vinh and receive the Second Class Independence Medal is expected to take place on September 30.

At the conference, comrade Nguyen Duc Quang - Editor-in-Chief of Nong Thon Viet Magazine, Chairman of Nghe An Association in Ho Chi Minh City also informed about the "Ve mien vi giam" Marathon in 2023. This is a race hosted by Nong Thon Viet Magazine, in coordination with Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports and related departments and branches, scheduled to take place from August 19-20.

The 2023 "Ve mien vi giam" marathon is the first professional running tournament held in Nghe An, thereby contributing to promoting the movement of training and competing in sports in general and marathon in particular; at the same time, promoting and introducing the beautiful scenery, cuisine and traditional culture of Nghe An people to tourists and athlete groups. It is expected that there will be about 4,000 athletes from all over the country, including 22 foreign athletes from Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Austria, China, India, Afghanistan and Taiwan.

Many outstanding issues and events have been reported and propagated by press agencies such as: The official friendship visit to Vientiane and Bolikhamxay provinces, Laos by the working delegation of Nghe An province, led by Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy; the regular meeting in July 2023 of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee; the 14th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026...

In addition, press agencies have published news and articles reflecting many issues of public concern such as: Environmental pollution in industrial parks and clusters, stone mines; the lack of development and waste of many clean water projects in some localities; information on the results of the 2023 High School Graduation Exam, etc.

Regarding the propaganda orientation in August, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department proposed to strongly propagate the implementation of the contents of Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW, dated July 18, 2023 of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045. In particular, special attention should be paid to specific development targets and 9 main tasks and solutions to bring Nghe An to develop rapidly, sustainably and comprehensively.
