Hung Nguyen farmers speed up summer-autumn rice planting progress

In the 2022 summer-autumn crop, Hung Nguyen plans to plant 4,200 hectares of rice and more than 800 hectares of vegetables. For the flooded summer-autumn area of about 600 hectares, the structure of short-term varieties is PC6, Khang Dan Mut Mut, TBR279... In the intensive summer-autumn area, the structure of varieties is VNR 20, Thien Uu 8, Bac Thinh, CNC111, TBR 225, NA2, Nep 87...

Currently, Hung Nguyen still has some areas affected by the implementation of the North-South Expressway project, so production is facing many difficulties. Up to now, the whole district has planted 1,872 hectares/plan 3,800 hectares, reaching over 49% of the plan assigned by the province, including 210 hectares of rice. Deploying the construction of 10 fieldslinking production of commercial ricewith an area of over 200 hectares.

To speed up the progress of closed summer-autumn crop cultivation, the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development requested Hung Nguyen to continue directing farmers to complete summer-autumn crop production before June 20 for the remaining areas; Increase the use of organic fertilizers in production; Implement well the summer-autumn crop production solutions, especially for the rice planting season.
In addition, the district needs to consider the budget to support and encourage people to produce in the face of rising material prices to minimize the situation of farmers abandoning their fields in the summer-autumn crop./.
