On January 11, Hung Nguyen District Police said they had prosecuted 8 subjects for gambling in the form of recording lottery numbers. Through the investigation, the police clarified the amount of money the subjects used togambleand gambling organization is more than 1 billion dong.
Previously, through the work of grasping the situation, Hung District Police determined that in the area, a group of subjects appeared with signs of gambling and organizing gambling in the form of recording lottery numbers, so they established a special project to fight.

At 6:15 p.m. on December 25, 2021, the Special Task Force arrested two subjects Chau Thi Thuan (born in 1985) and Tran Thi Chinh (born in 1973), both residing in Hung Thong commune, Hung Nguyen district, for gambling in the form of buying and selling lottery numbers.
Expanding the investigation, on January 10, 2022, Hung Nguyen District Police presided over and coordinated with the professional departments of the Provincial Police to arrest 7 more subjects including: Cao Thi Le (born in 1970), Chau Van Hanh (born in 1969), both residing in Hung Thong Commune, Hung Nguyen District; Hoang Nghia Ngo (born in 1990), Nguyen Thi Hoai Phuong (born in 1993), Ngo Thi Hien (born in 1975), all residing in Long Xa Commune, Hung Nguyen District; Nguyen Thi Tam (born in 1963), residing in Hung Linh Commune, Hung Nguyen District and Nguyen Thi Thuan (born in 1982), residing in Hung Thinh Commune, Hung Nguyen District. The seized exhibits were 80 million VND and 6 mobile phones.
Through the struggle, the subjects admitted to their crimes. The police clarified that from December 10, 2021 to December 25, 2021, the subjects organized gambling and gambled in the form of lottery numbers with an amount of more than 1 billion VND. Among the above subjects, Thuan and Le had previous convictions for gambling.
On January 10, Hung Nguyen District Police prosecuted 8 suspects in the above ring for gambling.
