Quy Hop, Thai Hoa Town opens the district People's Council meeting

* At the 6th session of the 18th Quy Hop District People's Council, delegates listened to a summary of the results of the 6th session of the 17th Nghe An Provincial People's Council. In addition, the meeting also reviewed reports in the hall.

In the first 6 months of the year, despite many difficulties, thanks to the close leadership and direction of the Party Committee and government from the district to the grassroots level, the economy of Quy Hop district still had good growth, culture and society developed, national defense and security were stable and social order and safety were maintained.

The total value of production within the district reached over 2,732 billion VND. Of which, agricultural and forestry production reached over 424 billion VND; Industry and basic construction reached over 1,542 billion VND; Services and trade reached over 445 billion VND. The total output of grain crops was over 19,720 tons.

Budget revenue in the area reached over 92.6 billion VND, reaching 62% of the plan assigned by the province, equal to 136% compared to the same period last year. Economic growth rate reached 8.13%.

The cultural and social fields implemented the set plan. Schools completed their tasks for the school year well. Exams at all levels in the area were directed to take place safely and seriously.

National defense and security work is ensured. Military deployment reached 100% of the plan. Security and order are maintained.

* The People's Council of Thai Hoa town held the 7th session of the 3rd term, 2016 - 2021, approving reports and proposals, notably the report on the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, national defense and security of the town in the first 6 months of 2018.

Accordingly, the production value growth rate is estimated at 7.81%, higher than the production value growth rate of 1.42% in the first 6 months of 2017. The total social development investment capital is 1,120 billion VND, up 24.7% over the same period in 2017.

Budget revenue reached 82,987 billion VND. 10 new enterprises were established, bringing the total number of enterprises in the town to 243.

Basic construction, investment attraction; urban management, environmental resource management; and traffic safety corridor clearance were carried out as planned.

Currently, Thai Hoa town has issued a Resolution to improve the investment and business environment, increase investment attraction and business development. It is focusing on completing documents and procedures to start construction of projects such as: Hieu Market Complex project; Commercial center, supermarket combined with commercial townhouses in Block 8, Long Son Ward; Nghia Thuan Market Complex project...

The cultural and social fields continue to receive attention: 2 students are excellent at the national level, 22 students are excellent at the provincial level, 417 students are excellent at the town level, 3 more schools have reached national standards level 2; the rate of poor households has decreased, the rate of cultural families has reached 89.2%; the political security situation, social order and safety in the area are maintained.

At the meeting, the Town People's Council approved the proposal to terminate the duties of the Town People's Council delegate and dismiss Mr. Phan Thanh Hai - former Head of the Economic Department of Thai Hoa Town from the position of Member of the People's Committee of Thai Hoa Town, Term III, 2016 - 2021 due to retirement according to the prescribed regime. The Town People's Council elected Mr. Le Sam - Town Party Committee Member, Head of the Economic Department of Thai Hoa Town to the position of Member of the People's Committee of Thai Hoa Town, Term III, 2016 - 2021 with 26/26 votes in favor.
