To date, Vinh City remains a hotspot for the risk of Covid-19 infection, with an average of dozens of new cases every day. Many centralized quarantine areas and medical quarantine areas have been set up to isolate and quarantine related cases, limiting the spread of the disease in the community. Accordingly, the amount of waste with epidemiological factors generated from these areas has also increased. Photo: Thanh Cuong

To collect and transport all potentially infectious waste to a safe treatment plant, the environmental sanitation company mobilized two large trucks and six workers to collect it day and night. The time and number of collections depend on the actual situation at the quarantine facilities, ensuring that hazardous waste does not accumulate overnight. Photo: Thanh Cuong
