In a quick exchange with us, Mr. Pham Van Minh - Director of Project Management Board 6 confirmed: The Ministry of Transport has announced the temporary suspension of the North-South Expressway, sections of National Highway 45-Nghi Son and Nghi Son - Dien Chau (section passing through Thanh Hoa, Nghe An), from Km337-Km430 to serve the organization of the project inauguration ceremony tomorrow morning (October 18).
Previously, the North-South Expressway project, National Highway 45-Nghi Son and Nghi Son-Dien Chau sections, was temporarily put into operation on September 1 to serve people traveling on the occasion of National Day, September 2; at the same time, the Ministry of Transport requested the Project Management Board of the packages to direct relevant agencies and units to basically complete the remaining items such as residential access roads, drainage systems, etc. to ensure convenience and safety during the synchronous operation process.
With the permission of the Government, the Ministry of Transport will hold the inauguration ceremony of two component projects on October 18. The venue will be at the North Gate, Truong Vinh tunnel at Km386+361 of the Nghi Son - Dien Chau section project.
In order to serve the organization of the inauguration ceremony and ensure traffic order and safety, the North-South expressway in the East, the units have arranged traffic signs, accordingly closing about 10 km, the section from Nghi Son-Bai Tranh intersection (Km379+500) at the end of the National Highway 45-Nghi Son section project (Nghi Son town, Thanh Hoa province) to Quynh Vinh intersection (Km389+970) Hoang Mai town (Nghe An) of the Nghi Son-Dien Chau section project will be temporarily suspended.

Specifically, vehicles traveling from North to South when reaching Nghi Son-Bai Tranh intersection (Km379+500) in Thanh Hoa, take the exit to National Highway 1, then go to Km 388+200 (National Highway 1) in Hoang Mai town (Nghe An), turn right onto National Highway 48D and follow the entrance at Quynh Vinh intersection. Vehicles traveling from South to North go to Quynh Vinh intersection (Km389+970), take the exit to National Highway 1, then go to Km378+300 (National Highway 1), turn right onto Nghi Son-Bai Tranh road and follow the entrance at Nghi Son-Bai Tranh intersection (Thanh Hoa)./.
