Young man arrested for stealing property, taking money to Laos to do business
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of May 4, the Criminal Police Team (Con Cuong District Police, Nghe An) announced that they had just arrested a thief in Ky Son District who was on his way to Vinh to sell the stolen goods.
The subject is Tran Van Hung, born in 1995, residing in Xuan Yen village, Hung Yen commune, Hung Nguyen district.
Through confession: Hung was a carpenter who worked for a long time in the carpentry workshop of Mr. Dinh Huu Thien and Ms. Vo Thi Nhi in Muong Xen town, Ky Son district.
Because they saw Hung as gentle and hard-working, Thien's family trusted him and considered him as a younger brother. Many times, he and his wife gave Hung the house key to look after when they were away.

At around 2pm on May 4th, Hung received a phone call from a friend inviting him to go to Laos to do business with a fairly high salary. Hung said he had no money and hung up. While the homeowner was away, Hung went to Thien's bedroom and Nhi saw an Ipad tablet, an ACER laptop and two gold metal jewelry chains on the desk and immediately became greedy.
Initially, the subject only intended to take one million VND for travel, but seeing that the property was quite valuable, Hung quickly put it all in a backpack and took a bus to Hoa Binh town, Tuong Duong district.
To have money to spend, Hung sold his iPad for 1.5 million VND, then took a bus to Vinh. When passing through Chi Khe commune (Con Cuong), sitting on a crowded bus, seeing Hung acting suspiciously, the locals reported it to the Con Cuong District Police.
At around 8:00 p.m. on May 4, the patrol force arrested Hung with the following evidence: an ACER laptop, two gold-colored metal wires, and VND1,300,000.
Through the work of the police force, Hung confessed to his theft.
Currently, Con Cuong District Police have handed over the subject to Ky Son District Police for handling according to the provisions of law.
