Mr. Le Van Thuy - Chairman of Bac Thanh Commune People's Committee said: In the process of building advanced new rural areas, the commune has closely followed the set contents and criteria. The Steering Committee for building advanced new rural areas of the commune has specified and issued appropriate mechanisms to promote the potential and advantages of the locality.

Regarding economic development, the commune focuses on investing in agricultural production, accelerating economic restructuring, such as exploiting the potential for afforestation, medicinal plant cultivation, developing farm economy, and trade services.

Currently, the commune is focusing on building key projects contributing to socio-economic development. Specifically, 200 high-voltage electric poles have been installed on commune and hamlet roads. Construction of a 3.2 km cassava material road, worth 18.5 billion VND, a 1 km Khai Son road worth 3.2 billion VND, and 3.3 km hamlet roads worth 1.9 billion VND. Construction of a medical station worth 25 billion VND, installation of outdoor sports and exercise equipment.

The commune is attracting factories to produce and process footwear products with an expected scale of 9.9 hectares, striving to reach the new rural destination in 2022. In addition, communes on the roadmap to reach the advanced new rural destination in 2022 are actively improving criteria such as Hong Thanh, Tho Thanh, Tien Thanh communes...

To maintain the criteria and build advanced new rural areas, communes in Yen Thanh district mobilized people to contribute money, land, and labor to invest in infrastructure construction. Encouraged people to compete in economic development, sustainable poverty reduction; built farm economic models, and developed eco-tourism. Up to now, the district has had 14 provincial-level OCOP products and 17 recognized standard gardens.

Yen Thanh also built 23 rice production models in 21 communes with a total area of ​​nearly 1,700 hectares, linking production and product consumption. Many scientific and technical advances have been applied to production in areas such as varieties, farming processes, mechanization, and production according to VietGAP standards has been promoted; clean products from greenhouses and membrane houses have been developed; attention has been paid to building brands, labels, and traceability stamps for products...

Strive to reach the finish line on schedule

According to the roadmap, Yen Thanh district will strive to reach the finish line.advanced new ruralin 2025. The Standing Committee of Yen Thanh District Party Committee has organized many working sessions with the Steering Committee for New Rural Development of the district, leaders of communes registered to reach the advanced NTM target in the year. The District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee and mass organizations at the district level have focused on researching and synchronously implementing tasks and solutions to implement the program.

Issue directive documents of the Standing Committee and Steering Committee; The District People's Council issues support mechanisms for program implementation according to Resolution No. 05/2020/NQ-HDND dated December 18, 2020; The District People's Committee issues action plans and programs.

The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee assigned comrades in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, to be in charge of the clusters to guide the communes in developing plans and roadmaps. Directly work with each commune registered to meet the advanced new rural standards, communes building model new rural areas to remove difficulties and obstacles.

Thanks to that, in 2021, Yen Thanh district has 5 communes meeting advanced new rural standards including Hoa Thanh, Tang Thanh, Son Thanh, Long Thanh, Tan Thanh. According to the plan, in 2022, Yen Thanh district will have 7 communes striving to reach advanced new rural standards including Bac Thanh, Dong Thanh, Xuan Thanh, Nhan Thanh, Hong Thanh, Tho Thanh, Tien Thanh.

According to the assessment results according to the set of advanced NTM criteria for the period 2021-2025, in Yen Thanh district, the number of communes that have met 17-19 criteria is 3 communes, reaching 7.89%, 4 communes have met 12-16 criteria, reaching 10.53%, 10 communes have met 10-12 criteria, reaching 26.32%; 21 communes have met 5-9 criteria, reaching 55.26%.

The district directs the full implementation of support policies for the 2021-2025 period, proactively improving new rural and advanced new rural criteria at the commune and district levels to ensure sustainability.

Promote the development of craft villages, develop high-tech production models, link production with product consumption, form specialized agricultural production areas towards commodities. Organize production according to VietGAP standards, build product brands with traceability stamps, aiming to build key products of the district with the brand of Nghe An province.

Mobilize social resources, attract investment, increase direct capital support from the Program for localities with many difficulties. For communes striving to achieve advanced NTM, model NTM, prioritize the allocation of more capital to create conditions for communes to complete the goals according to the plan. Organize well the reception of cement according to the mechanism of the Provincial People's Committee, distribute cement according to the mechanism of the district to concretize rural traffic to ensure compliance with the plan.
