After 3 years of collecting 1,553 billion VND, tax debt in Vinh City still shows signs of increasing rapidly

Vinh city's report shows: In 2016, the total tax debt collected was 555 billion VND, of which: Collection of old debt from 2015 transferred to 90,390 million VND (of which, collection by tax debt enforcement measures was 39.2 billion VND); debt collection arising in 2016 was 465 billion VND.

In 2017, the total tax debt collected was 662.3 billion VND, of which: Collection of old debt from 2016 transferred to 92.6 billion VND (of which, collection by debt management measures was 51 billion VND, collection by tax debt enforcement measures was 41 billion VND); debt collection arising in 2017 was 569 billion VND.

In 2018, the city collected 336 billion VND in tax debt, of which 58.2 billion VND was transferred from 2017 and 277.7 billion VND was collected from 2018.

The total tax arrears collected in 2018 decreased compared to 2017 and 2016 because in 2018, there were 2 enterprises with large tax amounts: Thien Minh Duc Group Joint Stock Company and Vietnam Aviation Fuel One Member Co., Ltd. Branch in Nghe An transferred the tax management authority from Vinh City Tax Department to Nghe An Tax Department.

Although a lot of tax debt has been collected, tax debt in Vinh city shows signs of increasing rapidly. Total debt in 2018 increased by 10% compared to 2017, and by 11% compared to 2016. Up to now, tax debt in Vinh city is over 230 billion VND (not including land use fees).
