The Provincial Party Standing Committee gave opinions on the implementation of the resolution to improve the quality of comprehensive education in the province.

The Provincial Party Standing Committee listened to and commented on the draft report summarizing 3 years of implementing Resolution No. 03-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on improving the quality of comprehensive education in Nghe An province, period 2021-2025, orientation to 2030.
Many goals and targets completed
Although the socio-economic conditions of the province are still facing many difficulties, the Party committees and authorities at all levels have paid attention to leading, directing, organizing and implementing seriously, dynamically and creatively the viewpoints, goals, tasks and solutions of Resolution No. 03, in accordance with the local situation and characteristics, step by step developing sustainable education and training.

After 3 years of implementation, the planning of school network and merger of primary and secondary schools has become increasingly effective. The system of ethnic boarding schools, semi-boarding schools, kindergartens and advanced general schools following the trend of international integration has been given attention and direction for development.
Up to now, the system of classrooms, subject classrooms and functional rooms that have been invested in and built solidly accounts for over 85%. The rate of schools meeting national standards is 78.1%.

Up to now, the total number of managers and teachers in the entire education sector is 43,814 people. Of which, the rate of teachers who have met or exceeded the standard is high; 26% of foreign language teachers have international certificates, 10% of IT teachers have international certificates.
Up to now, 80% of students have studied programs to enhance foreign languages, information technology, STEM education, life skills, and life values; 7.8% of students in grades 5, 9, and 12 have achieved international foreign language proficiency certificates according to school output standards; 5.1% of students in grades 9 and 12 have achieved international information technology certificates.

In the 2024 national excellent student exam, Nghe An continued to rank 4th nationwide; the 2024 high school graduation exam results were ranked 12th out of 63 provinces and cities, up 22 places compared to 2021.
For the 5th consecutive year, Nghe An has had students winning high prizes at the Contest "Youth studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style"; At the 2024 National Phu Dong Sports Festival, Nghe An ranked 5th in total number of medals, ranked in the top 10 best provinces and cities.
The current rate of trained workers is 71.5%; over 75% of students after graduation have jobs or continue their old jobs, with higher productivity and income.

After 3 years of implementation, a number of goals and targets of Resolution 03-NQ/TU set for 2025 have been completed: Percentage of solidly built classrooms; Percentage of schools meeting national standards; Number of combined schools and classes has decreased significantly; Percentage of preschool teachers meeting and exceeding standards in terms of training level; Percentage of preschools implementing programs for children to get acquainted with foreign languages and information technology; Percentage of trained workers; Literacy eradication work...

Concluding this content, Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung affirmed that Resolution 03-NQ/TU was issued very correctly, was effectively implemented, had specific results and had very positive changes.

The province's comprehensive education quality has been improved, continuing to affirm the quality of key education. The system of facilities and infrastructure of schools, especially standard schools, has been completed.
Nghe An students' foreign language skills have been improved and affirmed, many students have achieved high results in international certificates. Students' computer skills, access to information technology, and digital transformation are good.

The Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assessed that the Party Committee and the Government have issued many documents to lead and direct the implementation. The Education sector has made efforts to implement the Resolution with many outstanding and breakthrough results, contributing to the overall development of the province, especially in improving the quality of human resources.
Requesting to specify the specific "addresses" of the existing problems, limitations and causes in the coming time, Provincial Party Secretary and Provincial People's Committee Chairman Nguyen Duc Trung said that in the new context and new situation, in addition to the contents in Resolution No. 03, it is necessary to update new contents in the draft report.

At the same time, new and advanced educational models will be formed to meet new requirements; digital transformation in education will be enhanced, artificial intelligence will be applied, and students and teachers will be improved in their skills in approaching digital transformation; and the quality of the teaching staff will be focused on.
