Provincial Party Committee Organizing Committee supports housing construction for poor households in Quy Chau district

(Baonghean.vn) - On June 16, comrade Le Dinh Ly - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board led a working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board to Chau Nga commune (Quy Chau) to present money to support house construction for poor households.

Chau Nga is a remote commune, located in the northeast of Quy Chau district. The whole commune has 567 households, with 2,230 people, the Thai ethnic group accounts for 98%. The commune has 6 villages, after the merger there are 3 villages left; the people mainly live on agricultural and forestry production; commodity production is mainly self-sufficient, and there is often a shortage of food for 2 to 3 months every year. The total number of poor households in the commune is 274, accounting for 48.32%; the commune has 51 households with housing difficulties in need of help.

Implementing the Provincial Party Committee's policy on helping disadvantaged communes, the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee has received support from Chau Nga commune, Quy Chau district. Up to now, the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee has helped the commune build 1 kindergarten classroom; supported the commune to recover from the 2016 flood with over 20 million VND; supported 250 breeding chickens and food for 5 poor households; supported 1 chicken incubator in Na Pua village; supported 2 households to develop black pig farming worth nearly 100 million VND. Gave Tet gifts every year to nearly 200 poor households, worth over 120 million VND. Sponsored 1 child in especially difficult circumstances until the age of going to high school. Thanks to the help of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee and a number of related units, up to now, the whole Chau Nga commune has had 30 households escape poverty.

Responding to the Program to mobilize and support the construction of houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties in Nghe An province, the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee has registered to support the construction of 10 houses, of which 4 houses will be built for 4 families in 2023. These are the households: Vi Van Quyen in Phoong village; Lo Thi Mai in Mun village; Vi Van Tuan in Na Pua village; Lo Van Binh in Phoong village, with a support level of 50 million VND for each house.

Speaking at the ceremony to present financial support to families, Comrade Le Dinh Ly - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee, Head of the working delegation requested the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, departments and branches of Quy Chau district and Chau Nga commune to continue to mobilize internal resources, mobilize additional support resources to build houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties in the area. In the immediate future, focus on directing the completion of house construction for households before the 2023 storm season. From there, create conditions for families to develop the economy, well implement the Party's policies, policies, laws of the State and local regulations, contributing to the development of the district and commune. He also hopes that the people will strive to rise up, not suffer from poverty, not wait, rely on others, overcome all difficulties to build an increasingly progressive life.
