On March 1, 2020, in Le Loi ward (Vinh city), when Hoang Anh and The Danh had just changed the license plate of their car to a fake one and were about to commit a robbery, they were arrested by the police.
“The modus operandi of these two subjects is to wear masks, install fake license plates, drive around on the roads, and when they encounter their “prey”, they follow closely. When they reach a deserted road, they speed up, approach, and quickly snatch the property. In particular, they ride their motorbikes very fast, making it very difficult to catch up. After snatching the property, they sell it to get money to spend and buy drugs,” said an investigator.
