According to police documents, the most recent theft was committed in the early morning of July 28 at Thien Tan Hotel, Trung Do Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An. Accordingly, on the morning of July 28, the Criminal Police Department received a report that the hotel had been broken into and stolen from guests 3 mobile phones, 1 watch, 1 gold ring, 1 suitcase, 1 ATM card with 40 million VND in the account.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Guidance and Investigation Team for Social Order Violation (Team 5) of the Criminal Police Department urgently went to the scene to conduct an investigation and take witness statements.

Based on the results of the investigation at the scene, the police determined that the method of this theft was similar to other thefts that have occurred recently. It must also be said that from the beginning of June to the end of July, Nghe An province had a series of property thefts in the form of housebreaking. The Criminal Police Department has stepped in, checked, and identified the suspects to urgently clarify the cases. Among the nearly 20 suspects, Tran Dinh Tai (born in 1991, residing in Block 1, Tan Lac town, Quy Chau district) emerged.

Based on the investigation documents on Tran Dinh Tai and recent property thefts, investigators found that Tai Chinh was the perpetrator of the theft at Thien Tan Hotel. Accordingly, the Task Force focused on investigating and urgently arresting the subject to prevent him from fleeing the area. Through inspection, it was discovered that the subject had boarded a passenger bus to Hanoi. The Criminal Police Department coordinated with the Criminal Police Department and Thanh Hoa Police to inspect the passenger bus and arrest the subject on the bus.

At the police station, Tran Dinh Tai confessed to all his crimes. After breaking into the Thien Tan Hotel, he stole all the guests' belongings, including an ATM card. Using the guest's phone number and ID card, Tai tried to open an account and withdrew 5 million VND. Fortunately, the account owner was able to notify the bank in time and freeze the account.

During the investigation, the suspect confessed that from June to the end of July, he had committed more than 50 thefts in different provinces and cities. Initially, the police force investigated and clarified 34 cases, 34 victims, and proved that the stolen property included 35 mobile phones, 21 million in cash, 1 gold ring, and 1 watch.

Currently, the Criminal Police Department is conducting an investigation to expand the case and verify and search for the victims. The Criminal Police Department informs anyone who is a victim of home burglaries during the period from June to July to contact the Criminal Police Department through comrade Tran Hoa Ky, Captain of Team 5 at phone number 0915.128.448
