Laotian man arrested for carrying more than 3.3 kg of crystal meth in front of hotel in Vinh City
(Baonghean.vn) - Pa Vu Mua "hugged" 3,303 kg of crystal meth from Laos to Vietnam to sell for hire. When the subject just got out of the car in front of a hotel in Vinh City, he was arrested by the police.
On June 4, the Nghi Loc District Police Department announced that the unit had just successfully broken up Project 618D, arrested Pa Vu Mua (born in 1981), residing in Phon Xay village, Xay Tha My district, Vientiane capital (Laos), seized 3.303 kg of crystal meth and some other evidence.

Previously, through intelligence information, Nghi Loc District Police discovered a drug trafficking ring from Laos to Vinh City for consumption. After many days of intelligence, Nghi Loc Police decided to establish Project 618D to fight.
Through that, the Task Force discovered a man carrying a black backpack getting off a passenger bus on Highway 1A, in front of a hotel in Vinh City. When this subject just sat down at a roadside cafe, he was immediately arrested by detectives.
Checking the subject, the authorities seized 3 packages of crystal meth weighing a total of 3.303 kg along with 2 cell phones and some other tools.
At the investigation agency, the suspect declared his name as Pa Vu Mua and said he was originally from Ky Son district, with the Vietnamese name Mua Va Sua.

In 2002, Mua immigrated to Laos, got married, and now has 8 children. For each trip transporting crystal meth from Laos to Nghe An for sale, Mua was paid 500 USD by his "boss".
Currently, Project 618D is being further investigated by Nghi Loc District Police.
